Sid and Shanky, Can’t thank you guys enough man for the work you do! Been a subscriber since the channel was at under 10K subscribers, and I must say, not a single video you guys have published was ever any less than impressive. From the madness and gluttony of street food to the finesse of fine dining, I love how holistic you guys are with covering all formats of food and dining, shows your loyalty towards the cause of teaching us about food, that too in the most interesting formats possible. After getting used to your food content, nothing else cuts it, The Big Forkers has set my standards for consuming food content very high. Kudos to The Big Forkers and the entire team! Love you guys! So nicely done, such an ode to Chef Manish Mehrotra for the institution he has built. Also Goa is Goa, Delhi is Delhi and Indian Accent is Indian Accent. The fact that the tone changes based on what you are reviewing is based on context. Some places you can be irreverent while others require reverance. Haters gonna hate.

Was searching for this particular comment. Glad someone said it There's something fishy attached to this particular restaurant as well The restaurant has become infamous for posting fake/paid reviews on Google due to which it has lost credibility Just search for 'Indian accent - Mumbai' and sort the reviews by lowest first You will see tonnes of reviews where people have said that they were offered 150 bucks for posting a 5 star review for the place Don't expect the forkers to visit restaurants with such bad repute.

What picked my interest the most is the saag and the paneer. I am wondering why the chef chose a clear pureed saag. I think there could more chunkiness - garlicky, tomato-ey, punjabi-ness. The village rawness. The fragrance of ghee kind of memories. That’s the only thing that hooked me for a second. I have never eaten at such a place, but i wonder how do these places taste on dishes like saag that are close to heart. Currently out of budget, but may be one day. Just to understand the difference.

Sid here, my folks live in Houston. I have shot a series in Austin. It is 💯 true that North Texas BBQ is smoke and dry. But the North East gets a bit wet with sauce. Also, I clearly misspoke, I meant general American BBQ is on the sweeter side, but said Texas instead.

@@TheBigForkers Thanks Sid, fair enough, can't argue with the fact that generally speaking, American bbq tends to be on the sweet side. Probably the main reason I love TX BBQ. Only the Delhi Xaverians especially those who passed out in the seventies know the emotion called Fateh. We knew him when he hung outside the grills towards Ludlow Castle Road during the lunch break and when he stood with his cycle under the tree, near the school gate down that road, after the school got over. When it comes to Fateh ki Kachori , everyone else is a me2 or a wannabe, even the latter Xaverians. Those who haven’t seen the legend are not allowed to opinionate, no matter how adulatory.

This was actually boring. Why didn’t the usual host turn up? I don’t understand the mallu and tamilian woman - they add nothing to the episode at all. Essentially, Indian Accent is desi food elevated to a point where it is familiar but also unappealing. This is the place I can imagine doing biryani ice cream with dahai sauce and dried meat to mimic an ice cream sundae. I’ve been many times and frankly speaking it’s extremely overrated and will be heavy on the wallet! I’d rather go to Bhukara over this place and what makes it nauseating is the chef’s arrogance. He believes he is a trend setter and a culinary disruptor but in reality he is a guy who cooks good food that is overly complicated.
