TOPIC: BLACKPINK LISA Her full real name is Pranpiya Manobal pronounce as Manoban but later changed her name to Lalisa on the advise of a fortune teller that this name will bring her a great luck, but was does Lalisa mean? translation: the one who is praised. but other Blackpink members call her "Limario." Sometimes, she is also called "Lili" or "Lisa". She was born on March 27, 1997 in Anyang City, located in Buriram, Bangkok, Thailand. She is the only child in their family. She grow up comfortably and fame runs in their family because her dad is famous Marco Brushweiler, a renowed master chef in Switzerland and Thailand. Lisa came from a wealthy family (well every BP member do), they own a hospital and culinary school but doesn't mean growing up rich you'll be rich yourself. Our girl manage to take her own path and she auditioned in her home town Thailand for YG Entertainment, one of the Big 3 or the biggest Record Label and Entertainment Company in South Korea. She was the only one who passed the audition beating more than 4000 people who auditioned. Lisa started her training after moving back to Seoul from Thailand. After more than 5 years of training she debuted in August 2016 as the main dancer, lead rapper, and sub vocalist of BLACKPINK. The American record labels and Korean record labels are completely different. In America, a label will scout you and pick you up as an artist. In Korea, you audition at a company in hope of being a trainee. If you pass and become a trainee, you train for years in sing/rapping and dancing and other things to debut. The company will then decide whether or not they’ll debut you in a group or as a solo artist. You debut with people you’ve been training with or you'll never debut at all. Blackpink started training together since they were 14-15 years old, trained for 4-10 years and they debuted in August 2016. Blackpink when signing contract in their company it states that they are fobidden in 6 things----- drinking, smoking, clubbing, driving, plastic surgery and dating. The reason why Lisa now has bigger fandom, is that Lisa is one the kind of idol that attracts international fans with her kinda western vibe/swag that mostly kpop idol don't have. And it's okay to love her, to have bias on her or have bias on other member, but please don't spread hate to her or to other members or idols. She is my bias, not bc of her being swag and talented, but because of her huge and genuine heart. WHY PEOPLE LOVES LISA MORE and MORE: HER PROFESSIONALISM she went to Milan for Prada's fashion show. Took a 12 hour flight back to SK, and from SK, took another 4 hour flight to Japan for their last Japan Dome concert that started just a few hours after she landed. But seeing her on stage during that concert you would never guess she just came from a 16 hour flight. Her energy was overflowing. She never ever gave less. And that is not the only time that she had back to back flights between countries to attend a show or interview or conference. HER PASSION AND DETERMINATION we may not see it all but even the dance practices of the group and her solo performances she gives 100% effort. Other members said they would train from 12pm-12am, but lisa would stay up until 3-4am to train. She keep herself grounded--with the amount of fame she is getting right now from all over the world, she remains humble. She doesn't think of herself as a big celeb. You would see her eat street foods, or stop by a small store at the sidewalk to eat ice cream, hang out with her childhood friends. She still does what normal people do. The first thing she post on her IG after attending fashion show is guess what? Her cats. It's her birthday, and what did she post on her IG story? Her cats. At the Elle mag interview, she said she feels happy rather than realizing popularity. SHE'S GRATEFUL and APPRECIATIVE if you didn't know, Lisa has the richest fans. Like really really rich. One fan spent hundred thousand of dollars for a birthday led ad on 9 Buildings in 9 cities in 9 days. She get the most expensive things during a fanmeet. But you know what, regardless of the price, Lisa would still jump for joy getting gifts from fans. There's no gift too grand or too simple for her (Unfortunately, on October 2021 YG Entertainment post a letter saying that Blackpink would never accept gifts from fans only written letters, BP want their fans to use their money for good cause and to people who needs help, like a donation or charity). HER and BLACKPINK MEMBERS GENUINE HEART Blackpink donated 40M KRW (33,580 USD) or 10M KRW (8,395 USD) each to the victims of fire in South Korea. In Dec 2018 they were awarded prize money of 20M KRW (16,790 USD) by Elle Styles Awards, but being angels they are they donated the amount to low-income and another 20M KRW to single-parent household in South Korea. So Coachella 20th anniversary concert 2019, first all-girl K-pop group ever to perform there. I think there was a curiosity about them. I think the entire huge crowd was with them before they hit the stage. When they started performing with THAT live band, people were like OH!! They're the BEATLES!!! Didn't know they were THAT good. HELLO WORLD!!! Now everyone knew who they were. It was a real moment caught on camera. For both performers and audience,... and their hardcore fans. The whole world is talking. Now everyone everywhere knows how great they are.

YG has love and hate relationship with the fans because of some reason. About the brutal trainee period... well YG is one of the biggest korean entertainment company, so there's a massive people compete to get accepted to the compacy. Being to 'just have talent' is alredy become common in the audition... so YG usually only scout talented people with charisma. That's how Lisa beat 4000 people in Thailand... Just like Rose who become the only person from Australia who got invited to have a chance to train in the company, because they have that charisma that only YG eagle eye can see. Inside the YG dungeon (YG fans usually call this), the trainee can get replaced anytime. Just llike the girls said, YG never satisfied in monthly evaluation. YG sooo rarely praise his trainee eventough they're doing so well (Yup, he's remind me of Simon as judge), but actually... there's a meaning behind that brutal judge. He don't want the trainee easily satisfied and that to make them to find another potential and grow more. That way of his judge too make the loyal trainee still survive and make their mental tough as steel. YG ever said that 'The real world is more cruel that the trainee day' and that's how he prepare their mental artist like that. That's why Blackpink member are soo humble and have that fiery passion because they survive that brutal period. If you want to know deeper how YG group are formed inside the dungeon, actually YG make its own survival show when YG ready to debut new group. 'WIN' and 'Mix and Match' are a show to form generation 3 boygroup and 'YG Treasure Box' for YG generation 4 boygroup. I recommend u guys to watch YG Treasure Box first because its the newest YG survival show and seems like its the closest how Blackpink formed. How YG giving comment, how the trainee eliminate their own bestfriend and brothers. As for girlgroup, YG never publish their survival. YGX building just right across the YG headquarter, while The Blacklabel company (Teddy Park own company) building is just beside the headquarter. *Fun fact: actually 'idol group' are despised in Korea. Because Korean public think that idol group known to formed as a agency puppet to become money machine. But its all change after BIGBANG change the game... YG along with BIGBANG dont follow the korean industry rule and that's how YG got the title as a rebel company, and that already run to YG next generation blood. Eventhough korean public hate YG (because korean media always make a bad headline to destroy YG).... but everytime YG artist release music, public will sing along and dance like crazy everywhere. Korean general public will title YG artist as 'artist', not 'idol'... that's how much public respect them as an artist. That's why YG with fans and general public have love hate relationship.... they always said hate the company but will forget everything after even just one song release lol. YG artist are so respect and fear by other artists, in Korea or outside Korea... befriend with famous designer and hollywood artists and producer *Another fun fact: the important reason why lots of people want to join YG, not just because its a big company... but also YG known to let the artist free to do their thing, making songs, have their youtube channel, long hiatus to rest after non stop promotion, photoshoot and tour (but some fans don't like long hiatus and will blame the company for that... i'm pretty sure hiatus means rest, meeting friends and family, and preparing for another comeback... quality over quantity and artist health is more important). Other reason is, YG artist don't have to paid their trainee debt (In YG Treasure box, it said that YG spent 100.000$ per year for a trainee A and some money for Trainee B,C,D etc). Once YG artist debut, they will get the money right away without thinking of debt... because most of KPOP idol group have to wait for a years to get their first salary after paying their trainee and comeback preparation debt to the company. YG known for their crazy budget for MV and stage property, but the artist will still get their fair share. It is also known that YG has the most fair share to the artist compare to others... its almost 50:50. That's why YG artist always got into the list of richest korean celebrity. Once they renew the contract, the share for the artist will get bigger percentage and some of restriction in will get erased. Everytime they produce their own song, most of royalty will get into artist wallet lol....
