So, each member in the video thinks that they are something that they’re not, hence why they’re in a mental institution for their delusions. Hanni thinks she’s an iPhone, haerin thinks she’s a cat, Danielle thinks she’s a part of a kpop group and the hospital is the set for the mv, Hyein thinks she’s in a fairy tale or a princess, and Minji thinks she’s a doctor and their caretaker, that’s why she says “But I’m not a patient” in the beginning.

Great reaction. IMO, the meaning if very clear. This is a huge meta statement about the parasocial potentially toxic relationship between Kpop Idols and their fans, but from the Kpop Idol perspective. Ditto was about the same parasocial relationship, but from the fan perspective. You can see that the 2 mv's are related from the Ditto video clips shown on the OMG video. Here NewJeans members are being treated after having mental breakdowns from being Kpop Idols. Hanni (as Siri) is crying for help, saying that she has lost her sense of self, that she only exists for her fans and to fulfil the needs of those fans (like Kpop idols are want to do, not just iPhones). Haerin thinks she is a cat, becoming what her fandom thinks about her (that she is the living embodiment of a cat). Heyein is the member with the most entertainment industry experience, having been a busy child actress and here she is lost in the fairytale of one of her early roles (being lost in how her fans think of her). Minji is the Unnie, trying to take care of her members and bringing them to be treated (fulfilling the Unnie role that her fans expect from her). Note that at one point in the video, she stands over HERSELF, and brings herself into the ambulance, and obviously needs treatment too as she has also lost her sense of self. Only Danielle can remember that they are members of NewJeans, but she is institutionalized too, suffering mental issues, but not to the point of losing her memories. By contrast Ditto speaks about the good and bad aspects of being immersed in a Kpop group fandom. The good is that it can help you cope with a bad situation currently being experienced. She had a cast, possibly from a car accident where she may have lost her parents (never shown). She was comforted by imagining her Kpop group members surrounding her with loving companionship. But eventually she had to face reality in order to move on (broke her camera, moved from her imaginary relationship with her Kpop Idols to a real relationship with the Boy). Years later she put in the VHS, and all the happy memories (about how her Kpop group gave her a sense of loving support to help her cope with a traumatic situation) came rushing back. The downside is that if you stay in that imaginary world, your real world will be in ruins.
