2400 watts is a peculiar choice as it’s right on the cusp of not being wall powered. If it drew a little less you could pull the power from a 20 amp circuit, but in its current iteration you’ll have to use a geni with a twist lock to bates, so that definitely cuts down on the practicality for a lot of people. But such is life with higher powered lights. Given the probable price of above $5000, it’s tough to not just invest in a used 4k HMI over this or the Aputure 2600

The people at nanlux say there will be a plug adapter so it can run at 70% off house power.

It really depends where you are in the world. Here in the UK we can easily power fixtures like this off house power.

It depends on the country. In Brazil, for example, we have 110v and 220v outlets. In 220v outlets, 2400W will draw barely 10A.

ARRI M40 equivalent? nice job.

2400W so you wouldn’t be able to run it off of a houses power right? This would require a separate generator? Or am I missing something… this seems like a great low budget alternative to an HMI, with way better control over the output & it’s bicolour, I think it’ll be pretty popular with rental houses

At 230V with a 16 Amp fuse you get 3600W, but i dont know about USA and other countries without 230V..

We all good in South America. 3000w or so is usually just fine on 230V

@@TDCIYB77 no in america it's 15-20amps and 120v socket. so 1800w-2400w

aputure will have a plug that will match the watts with the wall so you can power their light on house sockets. I'm not sure what nanlux plan is tho. Maybe their own generator

He obviously had answered the reflector question twice and the editor didn’t take out the first part. 😅
