NANO AQUARIUM with LOTS of RED PLANTS

A few weeks ago, I did some retouch on my favorite nano aquarium and added red plants (Ludwigia palustris) and a couple of rocks as hardscape. In the meantime, I took advantage and took shots on how the plants grew in the nano aquarium, their colors and especially the carpet plant Elatine hydropiper's awesome transformation. I also put tiger barbs in this aquarium. They have nice colors but showing stressful behavior in this tank. Also surprising, they did not hurt the shrimps. Still, I put the tiger barbs back in their tank after shooting this video.

Tropictank I’m from Chicago and where i live is not to much places where i can ask for any recommendations, sorry to ask you something in your channel i have a planted tank and i’m a little concerned about lightning i have a twinstar 1200 and a 48” Fluval 3.0 i n a 48” x 18” x 21” do you recommend to run the lights at 100% power for 8 hours or 8 hours but increasing the lights for the first 2 hours and decreasing the lights in the last 2 hours and the 4 hour between at 100% ???

How many gallon/liter is your tank? Am setting up a 45L cube (12 gallon) and plan to do a non CO2 setup but with proper soil. Mostly some medium light plants. Wonder if the fluval 3.0 or the onf flat nano would be enough or overkill (last one)? Will start with a cheap led fixture i have from my current tank (smae widt, less deep and less higher) New one is an Urbyss Q4 (35x35x40cm)

Hi, yes running 24/7. I’m using more than 10 years this system for my nano tanks Without any issue! Most important thing is enough surface agitation with the filter! Because that creates oxygen for Live stock!

Once more a stunning cinematic! I was wondering, in almost all of your videos I can spot nerite snails (except for this one oddly enough). However, you never have any of the white nerite snail eggs laying around your tanks. Do you just meticulously clean them up before shooting or do you solve this cosmetic issue in another way?
