I am using a Rocktron All Access midi controller (15 presets per bank at my feet and dont have to step on the switches on the Nano. Just use the switches on the Nano for rotary selection.) All my amps and preamps with basic effects with or without IRs at my feet for on the fly switching. No more actual amps, cabs or racks. They are all at home and I can just take my pedalboard and midi controller. I love the Nano!

Loved the playing. Love the size. Love the price. Don't mind the minimal 'block' availability. I don't use that many presets - and minimal effects. But .........back when I had a Quad Cortex, the cloud connection was unreliable. I'd have to carry it to another part of my house to download presets. No such issues with any other devices I owned. I hope they addressed that in this unit. It looks like - without a cloud connection, you can't fine tune effects - just the *amount* of FX. If cloud connection is fixed now - great. Cool little unit.

I honestly don’t get the hate. There are plenty of other products on the market sold as “amp in a box” for the same price range and no one hates on those. I have one of these on the way primarily to capture the amps that come through my studio for review but as a tiny amp in a box that I can use with my drive pedals, other effects pedals, etc, I think it’s really appealing. The other thing is that it gets you into the QC ecosystem of amps (which at this point is quite mature) so you can easily transition to the full size QC later on if you enjoy the nano. Where are the people hating on stuff like the Friedman IRD/X or the origin effects stuff? They’re in the same price range and much more limited in features but they get a pass because they’re not digital? Nah. I’ve owned all the digital units and spent a lot of time with my singers QC and for the money, I think this strikes a solid balance between a sound quality that the HX stomp simply doesn’t have (IMO). The stomp has more flexibility but no capture and lower quality amp sounds. I have yet to try the tone X but the workflow and capture process looks like a huge pain. I could be wrong but that how it appears. Kemper player not being able to capture (at their price point) was a huge swing and a miss. I predict they drop the price on that thing to compete with this nano.
@moonchardАй бұрын
I don’t get the hate either. The NC is purposely scaled back which is reflected in its price. I don’t care if it hasn’t a screen, plug in your tablet. No overdrive pedal, so what. Capture one. I also don’t care if the blocks are fixed and I don’t want a multitude of effects or flexibility. What it does, it does very well. Capturing. The tone x in comparison is a pain to use. The NC interface is intuitive and fast. Sounds better too. The cortex cloud has 1000s of free captures to explore. Jack will be there. Rabea’s there. The haters just don’t get it. It either doesn’t suit their needs or they don’t understand it’s purpose or what it does.

Jack, I am a bedroom player with a family of 4, a full time job, with little time to play guitar. I am a simpleton, running only a delay and reverb to my tube amp. I have been content with this rig for the most part. I am looking for something to take my sound to the next level though (besides lessons) , and this thing seems to fit the bill. It sounds amazing. I dont have time to spend hours tweaking a monster sound, nor do i want to capture. I want some geek nerd to do it for me, and for the benefit of mankind. Can this be the right pedal for me? I dont mind spending $600 for this if it contains the holy grail of sounds. Give me a pedal with a million effects/amps and i will usually only play with 5 of them. Would i be good in getting this unit? I think the QC is overkill for me and dont want to go cheap for inferior sounds either. Much respect 🙏

I can’t find a reason why I would prefer this over a tonex. If I choose this budget QC, it probably means I don’t have much amps to capture anyway I would consider it if they add all their effects there or at least the legacy ones if any
@siggycertifiedАй бұрын
The cloud has all the amps you need, weird take.
@DankradMPАй бұрын
Nano has delay, chorus, reverb and pich shifter. You dont really get that with tonex
@TheAnonymous61Ай бұрын
@@DankradMP if you are referring to 1 pitch shifter, 1 delay, 1 chorus and 1 reverb for a total of 4 effects, That’s not going to be enough reason for me to prefer the QC nano. And you get 5 reverbs in the regular tonex
@TheAnonymous61Ай бұрын
@@siggycertified exactly. Why would the qc nano capture feature even be a necessity. To think that a chunk of the hardware of qc nano is built around this feature. Weird. Tonex has more accurate captures as shown in the scientific null test and a repository of a gazillion amps and drives as well.
@FastRedPonyCarАй бұрын
IMO, you’re buying into the ecosystem. If you can’t afford a QC, this is the next best thing and once you can afford a QC, the work flow transition is easy and you retain the ability to use all the captures you’d been using with the nano. Personally, I’ve only bought this to capture amps that come through my studio for review on my channel.
