Purdue uses the Semiconductor Device Fundamentals textbook by Robert F. Pierret. It's the one with a black cover and has over 800 pages. In his semiconductor fundamentals course, he also references Sandip Tiwari's work. He has several books on semiconductors and nanoscale devices.
