Nanoleaf Essentials LED Light Strip Starter Kit Review | Is it worth it?
Nanoleaf Essentials range of their LED light strips, comes in a starter kit - 2M and also a 1M expansion pack. These are quite pricey for the length you get - but must admit they do look good on the back of my LG TV as a TV Backlight.

How do you speed up the color transition?

A warning, need a thread anabled bridge/hub for this to work as a smart light. It does not work with my zigbee (nedis) gateway. Getting into the smart home thing is a bit confusing with all the different standards. But it is very gratifying when everything works :)

It’s prolly gonna be worth it for just a little while more… Zigbee was that new thing about to become common, but then thread came. Upcoming Matter says it’s going to get adopted as the standard for smart connections, so buy this at ur own risk.

Some query as Nanoleaf support sucks. I ask the support but they don’t know how to answer this. Can you connect 2 x starter kits led strip with just one DC adapter? This is because I purchased 2 starter kits as the expansion kit isn’t available from my side.

Oh sorry just realised this is a different video, I thought it was the panels. No its not possible as they sell extention kits to extend and theres not way to connect the two strips together.

the most important thing, really! in standby the 2meter Nanoleaf Essentials Lightstrip require only 0.3W. With light on it take between 4,7 and 7W only! The extension 1meter add just 2W!! My Vocolinc 5mt "On" is about 15/2W and 4,7W in stanby! about the same for Merros. So, the "real" smart house must also be efficient in terms of energy consumption! the Thread is the best way to save energy!

@@GeekStreet i have the nanoleaf triangles. ive had the app since 2020. No updates there. The colors are like 2-4x less bright than the whites idk if thats normal.
