What is nanosilver? Why is it used in consumer products such as teddy bears and food containers? How safe is nanosilver, and how might it affect the environment? Alex Fiorentino at the Museum of Science breaks it down for us.

Kenneth Kustren it can be broken down to its atom. But in previous parts of history, we knew silver was antiviral just we didn't know how to get it into and throughout our body's easily. At 36 volts d.c. It breaks up into pieces considered easily absorbed by our cells and called colloidal silver. At lower voltages the pieces are even smaller hence nano silver.

12 volts is easy to come by, who went through the trouble to test out 36 volts?
