Nanquan Training with He Qiang

In the mid nineties I had the luck to learn from Nanquan Legend He Qiang from the Guangdong Wushu Team. I putted the Vid online because I think the leads of He Qiang are very helpful for all Nanquan athletes in the web.

Oh, you have a lot of heroes :). For me I'm a bit old fashioned but guys like Yang Shiwen, Huang Jiangang and He Qiang or Huang Huizhen, Chen Lihong and Liang Yanhua are Evergreens for Nanquan. I'm not up to date on today's athletes...

It is the old Wushu Compulsory routine for Nanquan so most people say Nanquan compulsory or just Nanquan. It was mandatory for World Championships until 2003.

Hey, thanks for your comment on the vid. I guess, people actually don't know who He Qiang is. He was THE Nanquan athletes of nineties and was honoured as one of the "Ten famous Wushu Stars" together with Li Lianjie, Yuan Wenqing, Zhao Changjun, Wang Erping and others. But todays Wushu People know people who still are active, like He Jindge, or mostly people that got fame with the Beijing Wushu Team. Anyway I'm happy that people like you appreciate this vid.

thank you for the vid .. its very helpful ... can someone please tell me what kind of nunquan is this?... i found a of them, but this is the video i want.. i do this kind of form but i dunno what is the exact name, so its nunquan...??

Zhao Qing Jian (b/c he can jump) and Yuan Xiao Chao (both horrible to me). Zhang Kun Rong and Zhao Jie of this day, those are real heroes to me (even tho Zhao Jie dopes), or Zhang Ya Qi or Huang Guang Yuan/Wu Cai Bo from the Yaojianan sn. Sorry talking so much. Love nanquan. ALso, you see Ye Jun from 2001 nationals? He's tight also! or chen jun jie (my fave,i'll post) from 2004? Thanks! see ya! :)

Hui Zhen (GD Nanquan queen). Pple still sweat YWQ and ZCJ. It's just that pple like flash and athleticism and not necessarily good quality wushu. I mean pple still sweat

It's funny when there is a real video of quality, only 120 pple watch it. if it said "he jing de nanquan" or "Beijing wushu team" it would have 3,000 hits. and pple would say HJD was the greatest.
