What a lovely ancient rain forest! My travel companion and I are going to climb Cader Idris when next we get to Wales, probably sleep atop it to challenge the spooky myth. But I'm going to try to include this in our itinerary as well!

Fab!! Loved this video. It brought back happy memories of a 5 day trip with Trail magazine in 2012 when I got to write an article about a 'haute route' they had created in the area you were in. I had forgotten how lovely the Nantlle ridge is. I also mispelt it as 'Nantille Ridge' in my piece in the magazine, but luckily the wonderful Phoebe Smith corrected it for me! Looking forward to your next adventure.

Magic video - one of the best I've seen. You have a real talent for this. I have just subscribed! I was up Mynydd Drws y Coed a couple of weeks ago, and also stuck at home in Cardiff during lockdown. The muddiest Cardiff route I did was the dismantled railway out of Radyr Chain - don't go there in the wet like I did! My highest summit camp in Wales was Carnedd Llewelyn - highly recommended. Camping on the island in Llyn Glas on Snowdon is also a great spot - there's stepping stones to the island, so no swimming necessary!
