“The story is about someone I love who is no longer with me” I realized this message early in the act, you displayed it beautifully! Things falling apart in your hands and being pulled back towards your memories, to looking longingly at a coat and hat that only imitate where someone used to be. Then the processing of grief, you created beautiful things in the shadows, and finally you reach acceptance as the shadowed hand grabs yours. Beautiful. You didn't get the trophy, but in this case I think the trophy would've been tacky anyway. To end that wonderful, heartfelt preformance with an "FU" trophy wouldve been strange to say the least. I saw plenty of tricks there, but it didn't matter. The performance was magic. My condolences on the loss of your loved one. Must've been an amazing person to deserve such a tribute.

I feel like she knew coming in that she wasn't going to fool them. To be perfectly honest, there were only two parts that fooled me, and I'm not nearly as talented as Penn or Teller. But...putting all of that aside, this performance was absolutely breathtaking. I've genuinely never seen anything like this before, and I loved it. ...this routine touched me very deeply, and it has inspired me in a way that I've never experienced before.
