My theory is Naomi slept her way to turn top and had to do horrible degrading things to become a top model. That could be why she blocked many other black models from thriving in the industry. She probably felt like she paid the ultimate price and no one would come between her and her dream career. In return, she became broken and decided to make other young girls go through the same thing she did. In order to make it, Naomi believes you have to sleep with executives to make it. Elsa probably was not down with that and here we are

Ok so confession. When Tyra was getting her lashings (rightfully so), a collective of people used that opportunity to say that Naomi was never the problem. And I was screaming like no, she’s problematic as well 😂. Tyra just did a good job masking hers and colorism definitely played a part but Naomi has always been labeled a mean girl. A lot of the people in the modeling industry back then were not good. Even our faves. There’s another conversation to be had as to why.
