Why do referees consistently hand the losing cue ball to the winner of the lag? I'd want the cue ball I won the lag with. I've only seen one player insist on that: Earl Strickland.

14:41 I can only guess LVC decided making the six off the 4 ball wasn't going to leave optimum position, but as it was, as it turned out, he'd have been better off
