Just saying, since Nappa we've never had a villain have his very aura be damaging. Tien blocking just numbed his arm and the next hit took it off. Yes plenty of villains had greater power gaps but the brutality of Nappa is something we never really saw again.

Doubt nappa actually shook the planet. They over exaggerate in dbz, do you know how big a fucking planet is? A magnitude 12 earthquake could strike a city and 1000km away its peaceful. Planet shaking power ups would have come maybe during the cell saga or buu. It also bugs my how little ki blasts can destroy planets like nothing, friezas death ball in comparison to planet vegeta is literally 0.00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000^10000000000000000000000000000000000% of a planets volume. Literally makes no sense. But i guess it is a cartoon. If they ever make a proper real life or live action movie i hope they dont exaggerate to these physics breaking levels.

@@krisspaqueo2316 Yes but dbz exagerates a lot, it would be almost impossible to "shake the planet". The seismic activity has to travel through 100's of km through the mantle which is so dense and thick that people would not even feel it, also all the seismic activity that happens is on the crust with plate tectonics, i doubt they would be even powerful enough to even penetrate the mantle which 100x thicker and denser than the crust.

Though it is cool and flashy to see this type of upheaval during a power up, it is actually inefficient and shows the user does not have a great deal of control over the power they are bringing out(which makes sense, as usually when characters have to power up, they are exerting a power they are not comfortable with using consistently). Characters that can control it just kind of power up with no flashy stuff. Also, it would be bothersome to animate this literally every time someone powers up.

there are tons of scenes when characters attack powering up characters, usually it doesn't work if the fighter is much stronger than you, and nappa is at least 4 to 5 times their power, likely his aura would just shake off their attacks and piss him off. secondly, the little clown dude literally tried to use his psychic freeze attack while nappa powered up, and got his ass slammed, so yeah, they DID attempt it here.

According with various guidebook and sources, yes. But i think it could be more, maybe around 7000 while he's fighting with golden aura ? maybe it not figure as a mere power up, but as a kind of transormation instead ? that could explain an eventual combat level's growth

Piccolo was at 3.500. I can't imagne a diffence of 500 makes THAT much of a diffence that Piccolo almost can't stand anymore. 7.000 would make more sense. That Nappa is a complety diffrent Level.

I always thought the way it worked is that his battle power always remains the same whenever recorded (4000/7000/whatever), but he can display more or less of it at a specific time. Similar to how Vegeta powers up vs Goku later on and all of a sudden is fighting way more intensely. As opposed to the Eathlings who can literally change the amount of ki in their body whether through concentration or emotions.
