it's nice to see you're still making videos for the game. I started WT around 2013 and stopped playing shortly after Hyuuga was added. What I miss the most are the historcal lineups in Air RB (like Japan vs USA over Saipan, GB and US vs Germany over Ruhr), and the ongoing historical events, like the Zeroes vs Liberators over Iwo Jima, which won't ever come back.

You can still get Pacific maps that are exclusively Japan vs US/UK in props, but good luck getting them with any consistency when the matchmaker favors things like US/Japan vs the rest of the world above Moscow.

Naval requires a PvE mode. It may lead to it becoming more popular and then the PvP modes have the potential for larger player participation. More players means the snail can't ignore it anymore.

Yep, afk donated cruisers becoming a real problem. Especially when the enemy team is full of battleships and your team is full of Helenas.

absolutely true, especially if in your helena team the one or only battleships are german (except bayern) and the enemy ones are (obviously ..) hyuga, congo, soviet bb and marlbourgh. this mode is a real pain in the ass

The abuse of the Mofet will cause Naval to just be a silver lion pit, even for Premium users. Look at how they "fixed" the abuse of bombing in Air Sim. (Not reduce rewards for bombing, just reduce ALL rewards). It's always nice to see Naval matches, Thank you Napalratte.

I think what they really need to do is just take a break from adding more vehicles and completely rework naval damage and range finding. The maps suck, but the game would be much more fun if it was more realistic and less rng dependent. I’m sick of my crew just going back out onto the deck while being hit by multiple cruisers to die in unprotected secondary and anti air positions. I’m also sick of shooting Helena’s with battleship HE (i only have American battleships) and watching it basically do nothing, or shooting them with AP and having to hope for an rng ammo rack.

I'm a coastal naval player and nearly spaded the entire German and US coastal fleet. A prime example of a ship that is out of place is the German Albatros. In reality, it would use the 76mm guns for anti air and light anti surface, and the Exocet missiles for larger anti-ship combat. They are visually modelled on the aft deck, but are not active. Gaijin really needs to activate those, along with other anti-ship missiles.

I really enjoy the naval content, there is not much out there. Naval is actually one of the modes I enjoy the most now. Granted I just talismaned my Atlanta to use that but still there is so much potential.

3 problems in naval 1. PT boats rushing caps 2. Engagements right after spawning 3. Torpedo detection (cant see them untill too late)

you can see the torpedo trails in the water a long time before you get the torpedo alert. you just need to take the time to look for them in the water every few salvoes if you believe there is a threat. yeah i used to get pissed at being spawned in at flank speed along with the rest of the team and being in the middle of a freeway pile-up whilst under fire. i now select a ship and wait for the game to force my spawn which ensures i am behind the pileup. this also means it is unlikely i will be shot at as players seem to keep engaging one target until it is dead as they rely too much on the janky rangefinder and dont want to wait for it to reset on a new ship

@@motopanza i tryied ULQ thats the best solution for torp detection . But when i upgrade graphics they became hard to spot. Sometimes shell trace cam help. But not always . And when you are in a BB its pretty useless.

I love Naval RB, thanks for making a video! When it comes to grinding and lacking, I've come to a point where I realize that I waste my time to get the "good stuff". I find a couple vehicles I enjoy and play with those, playing the game in moderation (only a couple matches a day). I also have to disagree, I have quite the active fun with Hyuuga. I could be biased, as I love the ship and spent money to get it, but I genuinely enjoy using her in combat.

I found that the most fun way to fight Yuga’s and other bb’s is using torpedo boats, I mainly play ab (used to play rb but it’s way too slow). You take a reserve/low tier fast pt boat with torpedoes with a buddy sneak up to them and then fire away, it’s incredibly fun. Anyway, gaijin has to rework Italy’s navy it’s in such a poor state that is borderline unplayable.

Gaijin has to rework almost everything about top-tier Italy nowadays; top-tier Italian vehicles are often just non-competitive when compared to their peers. Take the recently added F-104S.ASA (the top-of-the-line jet fighter for Italy that got added in Winged Lions); it can only bring either Sidewinders and the M61 cannon, *or* 2 Sidewinders + 2 Aspides (missiles *only*) if you're going for the usual PvP-fighter "meta". Gaijin also *removed* the only Italian premium helicopter... and we haven't gotten anything new or different for top-tier Italian tanks since the Ariete.

I haven’t touched the Hyuga since I got the Kongo. You lose 33% of your main firepower, but the better armor layout, AA and speed more than make for it IMO.

I think that even a light cruiser with two double turrets of the hyuga can safely destroy any ship in the game at any distance, these ships are extremely unbalanced and unfair, as the battle rating suggests that with a kaiser I could fight in a balanced way against a hyuga for example, but I challenge anyone to do it and come out the winner, or at least to take out 20% of the crew before a nuclear SAP pulverizes you from 17 km without even going deep into the ship

Poltava has Not so good firing Angles as Imperiatritza marija and kommuna. Nasty SAP though.

From what I can tell about the premium cruiser players (by watching the replay), they select their AA guns and let the AI gunners do all the work, and occasionally change course. Initially I thought they only did it to farm this past event, but it seems they haven’t stopped yet for whatever reason. Judging by their scores I can’t imagine they make much SL, but I guess if you do enough battles it makes a difference.

I’m close to getting my first Dreadnought, the namesake of the class herself and I hope it was work it. I’m excited to see HMS Hopd added, but it fills me with dread having to grind out four more top tier ships just to play her. The grind is still really awful, it puts me off playing entirely at yikes because frankly I have more rewarding things to do with my time. The pay to progress or play like the game is a job model just doesn’t cut it in the real world any more. People haven’t got time for this shit.

Naval has changed a lot in a short time, gaijin has nerfed a lot of ships like the scharnhorst they nerfed japanese torps and oh god the AI AA guns wich knock out your planes, and they nerfed a lot of premium ships rewards wich once had 1200 sl rewards like yubari now 800 sl same with mikuma and prinz eugen and karlsruhe

br 1 feels so dead why go any higher maps never get bigger or more cover. avg daily is now 1.5k its worst ever been the rng feels so bad to make up for the dead weight of more top teir jets no point when maps still fixed new one proof one team is all bots other full 1k hours 1k money spent its rigged from start br uneven still got two brs lower than the top win tickets feel random now have team still fail have more units killed had caps most game they touch 2 and we even in 2 mins dead AF GAME
