Nope completely agree, for me just hasn't felt the same since Jeffrey left. When I think of Mushroomhead, I think of Jeffrey, Jmann, and Waylon. Just doesn't make me think Mushroomhead without those guys. Even though Waylon wasn't around that long like the other two, it still felt like Mushroomhead with him being the contrast from Jeffrey and I loved the cleans he brought to the table. But at least I can get my Waylon fix with AKC, I love what he's doing there. I do really like some of their new stuff, and am happy to see Jackie back with them on this iteration because I really dig her vocals when she's featured, they should use her more IMO. Steve is solid on vocals as well. Definitely liking what they are doing and I hope they keep rocking it, making new stuff, and I want to see them continue to be successful. But like you said just doesn't match up in my head when I think of Mushroomhead. Not a knock on them, I still dig it, it just doesn't feel the same.

Then one day Skinny and Jackie decided their eels needed more water so Skinny and her took all the water from the water drums and gave it to the eels. Now the drums don't splash and we are just stuck watching eels swim randomly in a glass bowl. Definitely lackluster in energy on the drums in the video and doesn't seem to have the same energy or haunting vibe. Art is art sure, and musicians and bands evolve. This is like going from seeing a beautifully haunting tapestry to looking at a bathroom towel on a retail sales shelf. Sure its useful and someone made it but its not something you want to see hanging on your wall all the time.

While I immediately fell in love with Rauckhorst when he first came in, I admit that I wasn't really sure how I felt about Scott at first, but he definitely won me over with this one. I love his voice here, especially how it blends so well with Rauckhorst's. The harmonies on the chorus are so good and give me Save Us vibes. I can't wait for the new album.

I quite like their new stuff. But I find the modern masks just look like something from a fancy dress store. The old masks looked more like malformed faces, and not plastic. I always assumed they sprayed them with oil or even water before filming the videos to give it a more flesh like appearance. I also would love another 10,000 cadillacs album.

Though I will admit that I was a bit bummed when one of my most favorite members of all time (Stitch) had to be a let go due to him running his own haunted house attraction but at the same time I still have hope for this band especially when they're putting out some new material with their music that sounds so amazing. If these pessimistic morons feel the need to ditch this band all because their favorite ex-members are no longer in the band then that's their loss. They even have the audacity to say "oHhH tHeY dOnT sOuNd Da SaMe DuRrRrRr".. Hell, why don't they just go listen to Slipknot for crying out loud since those guys sure LOVE to have those douchebag haters as their "fans" & plus their music always sounded the same every album cycle. I don't hate it. Its good music. The vocals aren't bad by any means. And i totally get its wrong to compare the giys to Jeffrey nothing, JPopson, and Waylon. But I think whats missing is that very haunting sound to the vocals. I would absolutely still go see them live. This is still great stuff. But bands evolve. And Mushroomhead still hits pretty hard. Been following them since 99 when i was 12. I'm now 37. Certainly change is inevitable.

i remember when their masks used to be uncanny and scary yet mesmrizing to me... now the new singer's masks are goofy and out of touch... so the close-up doesn't help... btw i know it's this change with the last album but i miss that at least one of the singers had paint instead of a mask.. it gave more identity and substancial diference between the singers

This song literally has no resemblance of a mushroomhead song. You don't have the same back and forths on clean vocals to growls. There is no comparison of what jeffrey, j mann, and waylon can do. This crap sounds like a generic nu metal band trying to get a metal core sound. Hoping to god that if the rumors are true that we are getting Jeffrey's own mushroomhead with j mann. I'd even go out and say waylon's band a killer's confession is superior to this.

They came first, but they will ALWAYS live in Slipknot's Shadow. I really really tried getting in to them. There is absolutely NO feeling in their songs. I always felt they were more just a choreographed act, no different than GWAR.

I still have a place in my heart for the old school Mushroomhead of the XIII and older stuff. But this new combo of Scott and Steve on Vox with Jackie adding her touch is just so good. So glad to see Scott getting that big push he has been working for since doing Ventana stuff. Blending that style with Aydin's drumming and having Gravy back to add that extra layer on guitars is just lifting them to a new level.
