Her undead outfit, his Roman statue mask and the Spartan helm, the vocal contrasts... Even the rest of the band's masks create an atmosphere of other worldly-ness. @@POTFULLOFGREEN Eh, different strokes. I'm all over the place. I love Jackie's voice and feel that it fits, but that's me. Then again, I will never not listen to Mushroomhead but I agree that Waylon really brought something great to the band. As for Jeffery....yeah but what a loss. For years I've always considered him THE lead singer to MRH, but you can't deny it his voice was going downhill. I mean the amount of pumped-in vocals at their live shows to supplement his tired pipes is a testament to that. Still, always look forward to what the future brings with them.

I find it unbelievable that there's a shitload of people that believe a band must always sound the same, no matter how much time has passed. Do any of you realize that they began in 1993? Nearly THIRTY YEARS AGO?! They're growing, evolving, and playing music that THEY enjoy. I don't want to listen to the same stuff they had on XX or even XIII. As memorable as those records are, they are nearly 20 years old. The second that bands start making music that just pleases their fans and not themselves first, they have lost the passion for creating music. I highly doubt they made Carry On with the expectation of it getting radio play. I think this song shows their maturity as a group, and although membership seems to be a revolving door, they can still create quality songs. Haters be gone. You're not welcome here.

Очень нравится то, как они меняются от клипа к клипу. Да, они всё менее и менее тяжелые, ритм меньше дробит кости. Но они сделали упор на вокал и Джеки стала новой жемчужиной в коллективе. @Dizzy Gear Qwerty and Seen It All have such high recognition it is insane. I've heard Seen It All on the local radio station for crying out loud. That alone is proof this direction is the smart decision. The old path was not a viable one, they ran it for as long as they could and never truly hit it big. You haven't "made it" till you can turn on a radio and hear the music without resorting to paid streaming like Spotify. Till then, you are still a small guppy in the ocean. You might prefer the older stuff, but that stuff never got them true recognition. If you consider this to be generic, you are just a hipster trying to sound important. This isn't even close to generic, for that you need to look at pop club music where you can legitimately play 5-6 songs and not hear any real difference. If you don't like it, that is cool. That is your opinion and your own taste in music. Which is great, we all have our own ideas on that and should stay true to what we like. However, your explanation sounds like a music executive/movie reviewer full of self importance trying to say why exactly this music is "bad" while sales are at an all time high proving the executive wrong. It's like a hipster that gets angry when something they like finds a way to get more recognition and suddenly a lot more people are into the thing, and because of that they now feel they have to hate on it because "it was better than it is now" only because it was more niche.

Growing and changing has been what has made them so enjoyable to listen to and watch their newest videos that drop. There's truly not a band over the past few years out right now still making music that is fresh in the rock world.
