How is this metal? Seriously, I just want to hear a justification, or some comical attempt. Did Napalm records decide they were not only presenting Metal groups or something? I clearly missed that memo so something about that was made unclear to me.

No memo, just go on their webpage were you can read it in the history or just read the headline of the shop were it says "Heavy Metal & Rock CDs". Also, Metal developed out of the Rock genre and that this is rock can be seen by the guitar work, the 4/4 measure and the accentuation of the backbeats. Something you could look up yourself if you were really interested in the answer to your question. So, no, not metal, rock. Also, did Napalm records make a promise to you to only represent metal groups? Because if not they are free to take on artists of any genre they choose without having to explain themselves to you.

Nah, I'm just mistaken about them also doing rock albums. I've really only known them for the metal records, and have really only seen metal official videos come from them in the past. I would like to add, while it's true that metal derives from rock and can be have quite some blurred lines between rock and metal since metal really didn't quite start out as heavy as most people remember it from the 80s. there's quite a few changes over the years with metal where influences from other genres such as blues, soul, folk, reggae and admittedly pop/rap have helped reshaped the genre as a whole. Metal is very easily accepted as a separate genre of it's own. Mostly, I wanted to see what someone would come up with anything comical, because honestly, I've seen stuff like this try to be passed off as metal before. and, I'm not exactly sure how changes with rock itself has made it more country aside from Charles Daniels being accept as "southern rock" even though he started with a country band.
