I'm really into this band. I saw them in Leyendas del Rock festival, here in Spain, and I really loved them. The voice of Charlotte in live concerts is even more powerful than the one recorded in CD. There is no doubt that they will have a succesful future.

Apparently, both are lyric sopranos who sound similar, but Charlotte's sounds a bit rougher in a good way, and Diana's is softer. So glad Delain found her to be the new singer.

I do agree that Delain has changed since the first time I noticed them. They have morphed into a style mix of power metal and symphonic metal (more the latter) as I see traces of late Xandria riffs (from their symphonic metal transition) in some of their songs.

They have so many fans because it's really the only band out there that mixed symphonic metal with a pop sound really well. You can look but no band has been able to make any album like April Rain. That has a mix of metal and pop and done so well at that.

Dang.... This is cool. I wonder why people are talking about a Djent influence though.... Though the praise for the heaviness as opposed to a "pop metal" oriented sound is good. I have no problem with the more poppy stuff, it kept the heaviness despite dropping most symphonic stuff. They're getting close to meshing the "April Rain" & "The Human Contradiction" sound... Which could mean for an absolute beast of an album. They haven't had a bad album yet, but this could prove to be a monster (no pun intended.)

I have yet to get a Delain album I don't like. 4 albums and 2 eps and I love all of them. Oh sure there are some songs I like less then others. But as it stand even the songs I like less are songs I can still listen to. With other bands I would pass over them. That's not the case with Delain.
