That was a long ride for those fish, way to go! I am glad the bears run away, instead of running towards you. I would like to fish for Char sometimes. My long trips are 4 hours by truck, then I fish for lake trout, cousin of the Char.
@FelixSt-Aubin8 ай бұрын
The time to reach lakes depends on where we go and what kind of fish we are fishing. We fish for lake trout too.

@FelixSt-Aubin8 ай бұрын
We use plastic bait for char and fish intestines for lake trout.

I have a Tikka .223 which I use for shooting seals mostly. I find it is a bit light on the trigger. What scope do you have on your .223?

Fantastic video! The bear looked pretty real, but was it someone in a bear suit? Would have been a great April fools day joke😅

That would be one hell of a bear suit :)

I think it’s a good way to teach a polar ear to stay away from humans.

Most of the time, they do run away. When we are in tents, that is when they are dangerous.

I don't understand why a person that lives off the land would harass wildlife with a snowmachine. Stresses out the animal, big time.
@FelixSt-Aubin8 ай бұрын
It was on the path we had to cross, did not chase it very far. And left it alone after that. We Inuit do respect and kill only for sustenance.
@wallytimmins3568 ай бұрын
@@FelixSt-Aubin That's what had me concerned as i know your people and other native (to the land) peoples hunt for sustenance. Quite familiar with Northern Peoples, as I did the winter roads in Manitoba and Northern Ontario for 8 years, and talked to elders every chance I had. I'd rather go North than to the Southern climates. My kids and a few friends think there's something wrong with me ha ha. Hope I didn't upset you, Felix. Take care, be safe. Wally
