3X3 full court basketball is not a new format of the game. It was a format created by hall of fame coach HBCU John B. McLendon in the 1970's maybe earlier than that. He happened to be a student of Nasmith who invented the game. It was called X-RAY and McBasket when introduced to me. I believe McDonald's was the corporate sponsor. I played it in the 1980's while in college as our preseason tournament ran for six weeks before our official start of practices. They may have modified the concept but it's essentially a skill and positional development tool and excellent for conditioning. The book is no longer in print I just happened to have kept my copy....😂
