Good Day Sir, I hope you doing well, Can I feed my dairy cows with only maize silage ? They will still give me good milk
@FredDairyFarm11 күн бұрын
Maize silage is high in energy.Dairy cattle need carbohydrates, amino acids, fatty acids, minerals, vitamins, and water. The amount of nutrients required depends on the stage of lactation, milk production, and the cow's body weight.

Hello Fred, let's say you didn't use any concetrates,will this napier silage have a sweet smell when opening it after 28days or 5days(if used Microbes)?. Would you do a video showing the results of napier silage as you did to that of maize stovers?.Thank you.
@FredDairyFarm4 ай бұрын
In most cases the smell comes from the fermentation process that is aided by molasses and other silage innoculants.The work of concentrates is just to add value to the silage.
