Mate! So good to see you back on the tracks! Keep ‘em coming! 😁 Need to see more “Nissan rescues Toyota” footage 😂 I reckon you need to do the waitahu track up to Montgomery hut. If it’s as bad as it was last time I was up there you’ll have your work cut out 😉 Cheers team 🤜🏻🤛🏻

The last 4wd i had was an Isuzu MU close to 20 year's ago and have had Subaru's since then and at present only have a 2021 Subaru Outback Sport so haven't been off road for 20 year's and only now watch 4wd adventures on KZbin like your's in New Zealand so thank you for the entertainment 😂😂 i do sometimes miss off roading.

you did the caves the correct way .... the best way to enjoy Napoleon Hill is to pay the gate fee with the land owners on the other side , pay the little extra for the most delicious tea/coffee and scones , have a tour of their off grid living and get the History of the area as there was actually a full town their many tears ago ....very nice people , Your Instagram question ," which truck looses 4wd ?" .... when do I get my prize , haha

The video is labelled in reverse but you went through the cave the normal way... This is why its good to go the other way. Yea it cost $20 per truck but, you get a map, if you get stuck or lost Malcolm will come rescue you. It's guys like you doing things wrong and wrecking tracks that get the land owners pissed off and then they just ban everyone. Some good footage though. And yes, I 100% agree, if you have a 4wd and some time do Napolean hill. It is a great wee track.

@@lukebusch2211 yep...drive like clowns and places get locked up, tread lightly and enjoy, then everyone else can to, so many tracks have been made impassable that way, and spoils it for the rest. Napoleon hill is an easy one without all that loss of traction crap

Toyota's don't get stuck - the famous last words. We hear the same shit over here in Aus from the Toyota owners and of course they get stuck the same. I'd love to pack my ute in a container and sail it over to South Island for some wheeling. We have great wheeling near Sydney but some new scenery would be good. What locker did you chuck in the Pootrol?
@4wdadventuresnz2 жыл бұрын
Hahahaha, as soon as he said that I knew I was going to be using it against him aye 😂 I’ve always thought about wanting to do that but obviously coming over to Aus and do some stuff in the Victorian High country! The South Island, west coast definitely has some Gnarly track. This one is really timid compared to some! Stay tuned as we’re looking at heading to some of them this year ! Ah, apparently it’s a Chinese locker called HF. They sell them at a 4WD shop in Christchurch, Kaiapoi called Kaiapoi Repowers. Apparently they’re tough as shit !
@BrettWilliamson2 жыл бұрын
Bryce probably would have tackled some of those flex parts easier if he had a vehicle with modern traction control. Once you learn how to drive with it, it's pretty bloody impressive. I think we've used our locker once. The TC manages to get us through generally.
@4wdadventuresnz2 жыл бұрын
I’ve seen some pretty impressive videos of how far some modern vehicles with traction control going up and around some gnarly stuff but personally, I’ve only had bad experiences with it to be fair. But I haven’t had a chance to use it in any other situations than the beach
@BrettWilliamson2 жыл бұрын
@@4wdadventuresnz oh yeah, we turn ours off when hitting the beach! Otherwise it's great.
@4wdadventuresnz2 жыл бұрын
@@BrettWilliamson hahaha yeah, we learnt that the hard way! But a few minutes of digging, lowering tier pressures and setting the max tracks, we were good as gold!

What do you film with and then what do you edit on/ app, good video mate
@4wdadventuresnz2 жыл бұрын
Thanks heaps bro! So I was filming with 2 iPhone 14 pros and a hand full of different old and new go pros. I think the oldest is a GoPro hero 3+ and the news are the GoPro hero 5 and GoPro Max. For editing I have been using Premiere rush which is just a lighter version of premiere pro but it’s been running like garbage on my computer so I’m looking at forking out for Final Cut Pro soon!
