Thank you heaps! Really glad you enjoyed it. Ahh yes I am running diff breathers from memory but don't quote me on that haha And as for Lockers, I've had a air locker sitting in my shed for nearly a year now and still I haven't put it in so no currently I'm not running lockers. Just the LSD in the rear

I am new to this wading stuff and I have a genuine question: don't you do any damage to your engine block or any other hot running component from the thermal shock of going into cold water like this ? Don't you damage any electrical stuff too ? I was baffled to see the truck at 23:50 run under water like this without any protection to it's engine. Are engines that water tight ? Thanks for the video and have a nice day
@RoarsAndBoars Жыл бұрын
Always wondered the same when going through rivers in me ranger
@4wdadventuresnz Жыл бұрын
That’s a brilliant question man! If im honest i know nothing about engine shock with the hot at cold business but i say it wouldn’t be great for it but as for the water tightness, yeah! Especially diesels. There’s only 2 points of entrances into a diesel engine, fuel and air. You could include the exhaust too but the pressure being pushed out stop water coming up there If you were running a petrol engine, you add the risk of water entering through the spark plugs too

The last person to tip that was behind you on that deep part is a meet of ours he said after 10 years in that river he's never gonna do the river run again

In a time like that, I wasn't mucking around so yes I did tow with the tow ball just to get them out of any strife. It wasn't like I was towing them out of a deep bog hole.
