@@Alejandra_Gonzalez_ somebody glossed over history and thought themselves an expert on the subject it seems... LOL Oh how shocking would it be for you when the day comes you realize all the wars fought in the Napoleonic wars, it was always France defending herself being declared on, and always Napoleon rising to the challenge in defense of her honor by wars goaded by either British money and ego, and other Monarchs egos being threatened and in fear of being considered lesser which ironically acting on such fears ultimately made them the lesser in the shadow of a man whose name defined an era by his own actions not by dint of existing, like some old crow Victoria...

You are looking at the French defeats in Russia and Waterloo, some of the most disastrous losses for France. Napoleon absolutely fucked over future france. His wars led to the unification of Germany under their (other) archenemy, the Prussians. And this Germany would roll over France in 1870, 1914 and 1939. But who knows what would have happened if Napoleon defeated the Russians. Perhaps I would be speaking French

The funny thing is Suvorov if he ever faced Napoleon would lose. By the time of Napoleon’s rise, Suvorov was just too old to properly fight against a 30 year old energized officer who already fought in Italy previously and knew the terrain there.

You used a mixed of scenes of Waterloo (1970) and War and Peace (1966), right? Nice edit

although they mainly use those two movies. It also has small traces of other films, for example the French miniseries of Napoleon towards the end of the montage and another more modern film that portrays the battle of Waterloo and I believe also war and peace from 1956.

They walked stubbornly, fists in their pockets They smiled thinking of Gavroche They were sinking in the wind And always, they hoped at sunrise that the day would come one day When will it be daylight comrade? I always hear this question That they posed the comrades While an old cruiser in the harbor Was screaming at full gun It's for good They advanced with great difficulty, with great strides They came from the war or from the woods They were hoping for sunshine and love They supported each other the friends of always The ranks closed When will it be daylight comrade? I always hear this question That they posed the comrades While an old cruiser in the harbor Was screaming at full gun It's for good When autumn returns and the great evenings When the night is longer and darker I remember one evening in Petrograd Where the ancients searched for each other in the dark Hey guys When will it be daylight comrade? I always hear this question That they posed the comrades While an old cruiser in the harbor Was screaming at full gun Revolution
