Damn. People are snoozing. Canadian and European skatepunk bands have been at this sound since like, a decade ago. A specific song that I recall from several years ago is "The Light's Still On In Broadmoor" by This Is A Standoff. Other bands like Forus have some songs right up this alley.

This song really does remind me of Veil of Maya (my favorite band). He has tons of these winding melodic riffs that go all over the neck, really reminds me of Marc Okubo's style.

Incredible. How does one create this kind of unique style for themselves? I would love to know what your influences are. Apart from Counterparts or Shai Hulud I can't think of any Hardcore band that has used such complex riffing.
