@FussyMelon6 жыл бұрын
Exact is the wrong word. They definetly have influences from Fallujah, becoming more atmospheric, but they have different impressions with their atmosphere and their song structures are different, lots of differences but still plenty of connections.
@RustyGonzo6 жыл бұрын
Pfft, yeah, sure dude. Except for that their sound is wholly different. I love both bands and listen to them both a shit ton, and the only comparison I can make is the brief bursts of atmospheric elements and really tight drumming with a heavy use of double bass syncopation. And honestly, maybe in this particular track I can understand where you're coming from. But listen to any of Rivers song and you'll realize pretty quickly they're otherwise vastly different. Both great bands though.
@aaronkriever13616 жыл бұрын
No way dude, being in the same genre as another band now means you're ripping off that band no matter what. (jokes)
@bluntedatbirth16 жыл бұрын
Most of Fallujah's music comes across as pretentious, and falls to the trappings of most songs being written by one person. Way more guitar wankery and pointless "atmosphere" in Fallujah songs, if you ask me. This band feels 100% more "organic."

Fallujah was the chosen one. Now it's these guys. Don't fail us.
@Megraptor5 жыл бұрын
I KNOW. I am SO SALTY about Fallujah's new album. I was a huge Fallujah fan. I remember when I found The Flesh Prevails on here and just listened to it non-stop. Ironically, Monarchy was recommended, and I never sat down and listened to more than a few songs. Then Dreamless came out, and it was good, a bit different from The Flesh Prevails, but... still in that same "ambient tech death".... thingy. Then Owls came out, and it wasn't on my radar for a while, cause I don't know. My boyfriend threw it at me and I was all :o. So then Owls became my album I wouldn't stop listening to. And I got to see them for my Valentine's Day gift all was good. Until Undying Light came out. It broke me and made me so sad. I was so excited to see Fallujah was putting out a new album, but they lost the guitarist and the singer, who did the ambient stuff. What hurts the most about Undying Light is that you can hear tiny bits of old Fallujah in there. Tiny. But it never comes out as the ambient tech death that it used to be. Plus the singer... got worse. I mean, their original singer wasn't amazing, but he was working on it- he improved between Flesh and Dreamless a bunch I thought. He still fit better than what they have now... tl;dr I'm salty as fuck about Fallujah.
