In 1999 there was a businessman named Doyle Harrison. Also known as Buddy Harrison. He published books and was the son in law of Kenneth Hagin senior. He died of cancer at 59. At his funeral were the majority of WOF preachers because he published their books. I asked this WOF lady about his death from cancer at 59. Without any hesitation she said that he was a fake and was only in it for the money. Later this lady went to hospital because she had MS.

Back in the mid 1990's, there was a HUGE blow-up in the Wod of Faith Movement when late Word of Faith pastor, Fred Price did a series on Race and Religion. He played a tape of Kenneth Hagin Junior. Pastor of Rhema Bible CHURCH dropped his mask of congeniality and plainly stated from his pulpit that Black and White Christians should never inter-marry. To paraphrase it, "We can be friends and fellowship together, go around in groups and work together, but DON'T MIX THE RACES AND MARRY EACH OTHER!" Brother Price didn't say who it was, but his voice was easily recognized by those of us in the movement at the time. Junior lost members friendships, and ministry partners over it (as he should have!), and a week or so later, he issues a weak, pathetic, vague apology for saying "something" (although obviously, he was of the same mind). He showed his "true colors" that morning.

We were not in The Message, but my grandfather was a “prophet” and healer, and T.L. Sometimes called my GF for a “word for the Lord.” My GF’s church was independent, but closely affiliated with Elim BIble Institute - and was certainly friendly with the Latter Rain. Great work! We knew Jim Beall well (Myrtle’s son) and I was originally ordained under the I.A.O.G. - but came out later - especially as I embraced Reformed theology and left Pentecostalism. So many connections. I want to thank God for delivering my wife and me from the Word of Faith cult. These preachers prey on the sick, but are really after their money. E.W Kenyon had a big influence on Osborn and Hagin. He taught that Jesus died spiritually and actually became sinful on the cross. This is a damnable teaching. This is teaching another Jesus. Jesus was the pure and spotless Lamb of God. He was the holy sinless sacrifice dying on our behalf. He rose from the dead and is seated at the right hand of the Father and will come again in power and great glory. " Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and he was buried, and he rose again the third day according to the scriptures. " 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 " Repent and believe the gospel." Another great video guys! I always look forward to every new one! I was a follower of Kenneth Hagin, even attended Rhema its second year didn’t graduate, praise the Lord! But I knew there was always a gap they seemed to hide about Hagin. He talked about when he was a pastor, then he goes into the evangelist field in 1949. After that there are mentions of some meetings, especially when he claims to have had one of his phony visions. But I noticed how they never gave much detail then suddenly jumped to his move to Tulsa and shortly thereafter Rhema. You guys have filled in so much about William Branham. But when I went to Rhema the word was Branham was ok until the end. But they never elaborated much. I began to suspect that there was more of a connection between Hagin and Branham but didn’t know where to find it until you guys came along. The other little thing that got me a while back is when you mentioned Branham’s favorite song “Only Believe” which was Hagin’s theme song for his radio broadcast. I heard Hagin in the seventies, more than once say that the Lord gave him a word of prophecy in the presence of Gordon Lindsey. He did not give names but it was readily apparent it applied to William Branham, AA Allen and Jack Coe. He says that he and Lindsey appealed to the prophet to stop teaching the false doctrine and stick with being a prophet. He seemed to still believe that Branham was gifted as a prophet. Also, Hagin did not learn the word of faith from Branham or Christian Science or Latter Rain. His conviction on confessing the word came out of his own experience as a boy in 1932. A former AG pastor in the eighties says this was exactly what he taught in those early days of his ministry prior to the Latter Rain or knowing Branham. It is true that TL Osborn was greatly influenced by Branham. Hagin was not. Hagin readliy condemned foolishness like not going to the doctor or claiming a dead person is healed.

I met Richard Gan a number of times in the church that I once was in and also in the camp meetings of the group that church belongs to. He’s the one who propounded that the seven thunders in Revelation 10 are the seven ministers that will rise up in the last days before the rapture in the seven continents of the earth. According to his teachings, these seven ministers a.k.a 7 thunders fulfilment are the culmination of the 5-fold ministry that according to the Message teaching will give the so-called ‘Rapturing Faith’ to the bride. And in connection to the Jacksonian sect of the Message, Gan also teaches the ‘Adoptionist’ version of the deity of Christ which teaches that Jesus didn’t become fully God until his baptism by John the Baptist when the Holy Spirit descended upon him and he’s declared God’s Son and the Word became flesh only that time when God tabernacled in Jesus’ flesh.
@Charles-Paisley Жыл бұрын
Richard Gan's interpretation of the seven thunders being seven men is actually Raymond Jackson's, he originated that belief. That was my church here in Jeffersonville. You are describing the core distinctives of the Faith Assembly - Raymond Jackson sect of the message. There is a slight difference in Richard Gan's version of Serpent Seed, otherwise he taught a nearly perfect copy of Faith Assembly's teachings from my sect of the message. Richard Gan was one of the most prominent of our preachers.

These businessmen embraced two core beliefs: share the gospel with those who don’t know the Good News and then go and make disciples: Be intentional about carrying out The Great Commission. (Matthew 28:19)." In years past I have been a member of both. "90 years in the making. CBMC began in 1930 as Christian Business Men's Committee in the United States in 1930, when a small group of Christian businessmen coordinated a series of pre-Easter prayer rallies. With the Great Depression in its second year, these men saw an urgent need for spiritual revival and took it upon themselves to plan a six-week evangelistic series of meetings at the Garrick Theater, in the Chicago loop area. Public response to the first gathering on January 6, 1931, was overwhelming, as more than 800 packed into the 800-seat facility for all six sessions. As the meetings were drawing to a close, the downtown Chicago business community wanted to continue the gatherings as more and more men were experiencing life change through their newfound relationship with Christ.

A great deal of confusion here. I'm from a House Church & Charismatic background in the UK, still live here, & am becoming more aware of the origins & influences of people like Branham etc. I am beginning to recognise where the leaders I was under were getting their information & who & what was influencing them, which therefore influenced the rest of us. There were also cultic qualities in one Fellowship & several of us had to get away from that. If only we could keep it simple: the Gospel is simple, uncomplicated, and so should be the Christian life. We really all must keep asking Jesus for more wisdom, discernment and guidance. It should be obvious that the likes of Branham etc al were deceiving and being deceived, and we want nothing of that! I'm reminded of RT Kendall's advice: read your Bible and pray a lot. Bang on! Personally, it's enough for me now, after nearly 40 years in the above kinds of churches & Fellowships, to try to have a simpler, quieter life, less complicated, & trying to figure things out, and suss out yet another church I have recently started attending. I'm pleased to say they seem normal, and seem to care about newcomers and each other, which to me is a good, healthy sign, and I don't think it's Charismatic, but more traditional, where the Word and the Gospel are very much the focus. A refreshing change. I'm very wary though, & am not willing to allow anyone to lead me astray if I can help it. I'm so tired of that. Let's remember - it's the HOLY SPIRIT who will lead us into all truth. GOD help us all ❤

I was almost sucked into a church that was preying on people’s wallets. That pastor told us we had to invest or plant a seed, I can’t remember which. Well, I gave $50 which I couldn’t afford to give, but I trusted God to provide for me. One time I was in the Ladies Room when one young lady asked me if I spoke in tongues yet. I didn’t and told her that. Something didn’t seem right, so I left that church and started going to another one. The pastor there taught from the Bible. Fast forward to today, I’m very wary of many pastors because many chose to follow the man trump, and many still do. I won’t go into more details than that. Let us keep our eyes on Jesus, He alone is the Truth. Greetings to you from Southern California!

You make it sound like we're all just too smart to fall for parlor tricks anymore. When my church disbanded I visited an IHOP for about a year on and off. The sanctuary was always blacked out. The only light in the place shined on the stage. Kind of like a magic act The pastor rigged a little demonstration one sunday.. this one wasn't even very hard to figure out but they all fell for it. Ca He put a kiddie pool to the corner of the stage filled with water. Then, at the end of his sermon, announced a flash baptism of all the people that got saved that morning. Several went up.. I couldn't really tell because it was dark. He made it appear like God told him to do this. But really, he had volunteers. Not even a very good trick, but after the service? I went up to him and said that was a pretty good trick. He laughed and said yeah. It went better than I thought it would. So yeah. People have not changed. It's always been with parlor tricks and it probably always will be.

And when JR, thinks the camera has passed he quickly gets back to his seat and yucks it up with his wife. You can tell what he did when tapped he did it strictly for show!!! Hagin called it Holy Ghost meetings and they are bizarre to say the least! There are several more I have seen and clearly some people are just acting and some may indeed be controlled by a spirit but it is NOT the Holy Spirit!!!!

@@pristineclear8604 Yes, The Bible is clear, nothing happens good or bad without being in the will of God. this is hard for us to understand, The Bible also makes it clear, some are taken home early to protect them from falling away into more sin. All of us are called home when God knows that it is our time. while Satan is trying to find loopholes to avoid his being put into the pit of hell, God is still directing everything. It is hard for us to understand that the warfare in the heavenly is being played out upon the earth, God our creator already knows the outcome, while Satan is trying to find an escape clause to keep him from his final destination and man is in the middle of the heavenly war.

Would the FGBMFI be to the small/medium businessman what The Family was to the senior government officials and major corporation executives? Did the FGBMFI ever create prayer cells the The Family did?

@jerrysullivan8424 Жыл бұрын
Not so much prayer cells like the Family as much as business connections. When I was a member it was much like making contacts for businessmen much like being an AMWAY dealer. most of us who were members were not businessmen, what I personally witnessed as a member was many were at the meetings more to hear the speakers like Branham and see the miracles. these meetings always were conducted during breakfast or the Dinner hour after the meal the speaker would give a message. However, the officers were always businessmen or pastors. As I remember it, I was a member in the late 1980s we had meetings once a month every Sat evening. I was not a businessman but was in management at my job, a deacon in my church and had many personal friends who were members

I suspect that money, fame, prestige, self-esteem- a number of the things Satan tempted the Lord Christ with, and he outright rejected - these guys accepted- like so many others in other fields like politicians. I remember an Oral Roberts special on TV and his guest was Jerry Lewis. I was a child at the time and thought that Jerry had become a Christian. If he wasn't why was he on the show? Oral Roberts former daughter-in-law wrote a book that exposed this as well. I haven't the book but heard she stated something to the effect that he had been poor and that it had an effect on him and had something to do with his lavish lifestyle. Mike Murdock would also be an example of this.

Where can one obtain a copy of this chart diagram of a Pentecostal movement
@samwa8577 Жыл бұрын
Very good. Please remember, that Pentecostal, began in the early church, not L.A. , and is an essential truth. Just because insane beasts, used this, for profit, does not mean that the Baptism with the Holy Spirit, is wrong, in fact, it's the opposite, a vital doctrine, and praying in the Spirit, is the initial evidence, but not the only, and I feel for people, who throw this away, once they learn the facts about these terrible false ministers. 2. I thank God, that I was raised nothing, although it would have been good, to have heard the Gospel, as a child, but I did at 19, and became a Christian then, so 42 years ago. So, for those of you, who grew up, in WOF; UPC; the so-called Message, etc., I sure feel for you, but please do not leave the truths behind, such as the fact that prophets can exist, the gifts of the Spirit, and more. If needed, just don't go to any church. 3. I don't know where you are, but on the West Coast, happily, the Charismatic movement (a vile thing and NOT the same as Pentecostal, at ALL), WOF ( wicked), etc., are almost extinct. 4. I knew two people, who knew Branham, and Coe. I met "TL" once, plus Coe Jr., plus dozens more, lesser known. I knew Joe McIntyre, quite well, and many more. All were terrible people, who exchanged their souls, for punishments, hard to imagine. You can see, merely by a photo, how bad they are. Look at Copeland. He looks all messed up. Billy Graham, looks bad, the list goes on and on. 5. We forgive every one of them, with our whole hearts, and allow God, to help us, to move on, but for the love of God, please be sure, to believe the doctrines, just not these fafse pastors.

Without having read the book, without any fear of being wrong, I’d say all his stories about healings he may have done are all lies. It’s so easy to say he’s healed folks, I’d want the proof. It’s not the healings that we should crave, rather Jesus Himself and His teachings.

While its true there are many false teachers and prophets this site seems to merely be an attempt to destroy faith in God and the gifts of the spirit. Thank God I had holy Spirit manifestations from day one of my walk with Jesus!
@cestmoi56875 ай бұрын
It's not. I have found these videos eye opening and a confirmation of my suspicions that there are a lot of people using the purported word of God for their glory and gain. The truth is the truth. It hasn't at all shaken my belief in the gifts of the Spirit because I base that belief on the Scriptures, not on any man. But it's clear there is something very wrong with a lot of what happens in this movement. In my opinion, the well meaning people get deceived because of an obsession with signs and wonders, and a lack of emphasis of proper reading of the Bible (not cherry picking).

I will push back strongly on one comment, that "without those three elements you don't have Azusa Street"... Without the Holy Spirit, you don't have Azusa Street!! (all the terrible doctrines that came out of this and certainly infiltrated this "move of God" aside) The Adversary always hijacks, distracts, manipulates, attempts to destroy, etc. what God, by His Spirit, is doing. So, while pointing out the errors, we MUST stop and ask ourselves, "What was GOD up to?" grace and peace
