These have been fascinating and enlightening. I am realizing that it’s quite possible I am coming out of a cult … in a thousand years … at this point in my life … I never would have thought I would be susceptible to being involved in a cult … b/c a huge part of what God has called me to is exposing false teachers, teachings, and doctrines … especially w/in Christendom … thank you for all your hard work and being so vulnerable! You are making a difference in more ways than you intended or imagined when you started this journey! ❤❤❤

Thank you for revealing all of this. Was surrounded by people who lauded Branham and similar 'prophets' today. We were encouraged to both ask for prayer and prophecy and be involved in giving prophetic words as well. Had to repent. I was completely blind to it. A lot of ego and pride in it all. One more layer of deception gone.

Spiritualism, eastern mysticism, fortune telling, astrology and magic. No wonder this period produced a lot of practitioners purporting to be of God-conjurors of practices far removed from scripture. And it appears that as the movement went through ebbs and flow it produced groups that eventually splintered into warring factions … sometimes at loggerheads with others or plagued with infighting. Using scripture coupled by these Ill-practices as a battering ram. What would a vulnerable lay person do in the face of these “signs and wonders”… duplicitously placed in scripture to thwart any attempt to question? And If one attempted to critically examine them, fear tactics was a weapon of choice. No wonder millions were caught up in its web-it was inevitable as men became powerful and influential. Not anymore. It’s time to look deeply into what actually went on. These episodes are fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Still so many charismatics here
@violamezei61932 жыл бұрын
Even hours after listening to it, the pennies keep dropping, so to say. It may even turn out that the beginning of something we thought was "God's work" was wrong. Here in Hungary, I was told about the start of my former charismatic church, that back in the late 1970s (during the socialist era), someone supposedly smuggled in a Derek Prince teaching on " sorcery", which "brought a big breakthrough". By sorcery Derek basically meant manipulation and control but he taught that this phenomenon was caused by demons, and in hindsight, this became the basis for finding a demon for everything. The current lead pastor, based on Derek's teaching, "found" that his fellow church planter's strong Roman Catholic background (the demons coming from his parents) was "hindering revival" and effectively succeeded in expelling him from the church. Everybody was amazed by the pastor's spiritual insights and he became the only, unquestionable leader of the church. And from then on, the pains and ailments he experienced in his physical body became indicators of demons. In retrospect, this was a perfect breeding ground for control and manipulation (the very thing they wanted to "cast out" originally), because everyone began to fear the pastor, wondering what he saw in us, what kind of demon... I heard from friends that he preached even recently about feeling a severe depression before a church service, which led him to conclude that "rebellious Christians would be sitting in the worship service that evening". Also, this kind of teaching lead to the breakdown of family relationships like kids accusing their parents that they pass on generational curses and demons to them, even poor granny's cake transmitted family demons etc... so these are all rotten fruits, to be honest... and now the roots have become clear (although I still don't know what to think of Derek Prince, he seemed to be a balanced teacher in some other aspects, at least compared to the "wilder" charismatics).

I see the followers of the NAR and televangelist faith healers being blinded in the same way. I have a friend who believes the NAR and televangelist no matter what they do or say. I told this friend the story of Smith Wigglesworth throwing a baby against the wall and then kicking it like a soccer ball to heal the baby. He tells me he doesn’t believe he said that, and people make things up to ruin faith healers ministries. I sent him a video of Sid Roth, who he loves, telling that same story. He instantly changed from he didn’t say that to who am I to judge how God would heal a baby. Then told me I needed to be very careful what I say about these “men of god”. I was absolutely shocked. He’s a very smart man. He believes in Christ and the Bible. Yet he could not see his 180 flip from thinking that can’t be true, to who are you to judge. I am a believer in Christ and was shocked at how cult like it felt talking to my friend. Amazing job! I love the work you’re doing!

Some of that came out of New England thought sciences from the 1840's. Christian Science is an example of that. Also the USA lost 620,000 men in the Civil War. Most of them were young men. For surviving relatives there was a desire to communicate with these dead young men. The result was an interest in seances(Also in Britain, too). Abraham Lincoln had seances in the White House, as had lost a son, too.

I think they were located at 303 E. Market St. They had sporting apparatus, powder flasks, shot piuches, Ely's wire cartridges, Baldwin wads, Bowie knives, rifles with the Gaining twist and patent muzzles. Paper stated it was second door east of Barnett House at 51 Market St.

It seems like the very word spirit stemmed from people not understanding how the mind works.
@dannyboi_663 Жыл бұрын
The word "seems" implies that I don't know. However I've never seen any verified evidence for a spirit. There are countless lab tested examples of human brains powered by eletrical impulses. If you have some academically verified evidence for spirits I would love you to tell me where I can find it.
@dannyboi_663 Жыл бұрын
I agree that trying to verify the spirit academically is vanity. If someone receives brain damage, their decisions and actions change drastically. Therefore it seems apparent that the brain is the choice maker, no added spirit or soul etc. needed.

At 34 minutes.... what about the Angel troubling the water of Bethesda pool at certain seasons?
@Charles-Paisley2 жыл бұрын
That is a great example! There is nothing in scripture to suggest that the practice at that pool was endorsed by God. There is substantial evidence, both from scripture and historically, that pool was actually tied to paganism. And in the passage Jesus corrects the lame man waiting on the pool to be stirred, indicating that he should have instead been looking to God for deliverance. The site is fairly well known to have been a place dedicated to the Greek god Asclephion. A quick review of scholarship on the pool of Bethesda will reveal a strong majority opinion that the site was pagan, and the angel being referenced is a false pagan God, and Jesus chose the site and healed the lame man as a direct challenge to paganism. Give it a Google and see what you find. It's interesting stuff to look at. There's also a strong implication in the 14th verse of that chapter, that the man had been sinning, and in context, the only thing we are aware he was doing was laying at that pool waiting for an angel to come heal him. So what's that the sin he was committing?
@Caringheart0511 ай бұрын
The sin was NOT putting his trust in the God to be healed and was just a fixture of self-pity

I don't see that in the transcript. Care to share the timestamp? But to answer your question, which does not appear to be related to this video, if you look at the temptation of Jesus, you see the devil gave Jesus visions.
@ariluv8316 күн бұрын
@Charles-Paisley I don't remember the timestamp I'll have to go back and re-listen. Unless I commented on the wrong video which is entirely possible since I had you guys constantly playing back to back. I was just curious because I was trying to remember the devil giving someone a dream in the Bible. Yes you're correct he did show Jesus visions but I still can't remember an instance of him giving dreams. Thank you for your response Charles. I'll give the time stamp after I rewatch.
@Charles-Paisley15 күн бұрын
@@ariluv83 I don't recall that being a part of this video. Or any other. So if you can give a timestamp I'd be glad to respond to the point being made in the video. In relation to dreams specifically, I think any Christian would agree that nightmares do not come from God. It's not God who is attempting to cause people to be tormented with fear, that is incongruent with his character. Many people have sick and twisted dreams. It could lead you down a very dark road to believe your dreams are immune from evil.
