When I went grocery shopping, I saw my ex friend(narc) working at a register. I was pleasantly surprised when I didn’t feel anxious or angry or fearful. I felt indifferent. I call that progress. When I checked out I went to another register. I walked by her and said nothing. She didn’t say anything to me. This is the best conversation we ever had. 😊

It’s like you are holding a mirror up to my 25 year marriage with a narcissist. After finally learning what I was dealing with, I filed for divorce (much to his surprise). It will become final this week. You are 100% SPOT ON. Educating one’s self listening to channels like yours (which is AMAZING ❤️) and taking the High Road (not calling them out) and maintaining silence are THE BEST WEAPONS against the narcissist. It’s funny how the many previous relationships of the narcissist are always ‘unstable’ and need counselling, according to the toxic one. It’s funny how we all go back to our normal calm and rational behaviour once they have gone from your life 🤔

I completely ignored her, while she raised her voice and asked again. Ignored again, and the family realized what an ass she is. Didnt have to say a word. Smiled and left. Great video Andrew. In my narcissistic relationship I was abused in so many ways, the ones that hurt the deepest was the emotional abuse. He was a monster he would go out of his way to find what hurt me the most. He never cared about me or if anything happened to me, but he claimed he loved me. It was a big lie . When I was discarded, I had nothing I just took the clothes on my back and I just disappeared. I left everything my job my belongings my friends and family I moved far from him. I got a new job and started rebuilding my heart and soul and also my life. I blocked him and I refuse to look at his social media. I really don't want to know anything about him. I'm still healing but I'm much better now than I ever was when I was with him. Thank you everyone and thank you Andrew for the video.

The very best treatment for the Narcissistic is SILENCE and CONTACTLESS !! They work like a champ!! I dealt with 2 Narcissistic control freaks!! I have better health and things to do than wasting my precious time ! I don’t react anymore and what they want is to pick up an argument to empty their stress and I don’t give them permission anymore ! I have more time for me and I don’t enjoy being around them before I often wondered why or what’s wrong and didn’t realize I was dealing with narcissistic mentally distorted people

100% the narcissist needs you to speak so that they can't twist it against you but when you say nothing, they can't. However they'll get mad again and gaslight you but don't respond until they change their tone, only if you can't leave. Otherwise just politely and quietly walk away (as few worlds as possible) and its then that they know, they have lost you.

The narcissist only tells you and cares about what hurts them. They don't make themselves vulnerable and are incapable of real communication. You really described my experience with my ex wife. It has taken me 3 years just to be at peace with myself. It is difficult to go no contact when you have a young child with one. I have stayed silent with minimal contact. It’s tough but I am doing my best. As I was abused, gaslit, disrespected, and kicked out of our home numerous times from her rage and silent treatments. I had to walk away from the relationship because she never accepted responsibility and blamed me for everything. Thank you for putting this knowledge out there for people who are continuing to heal. 🙌🙌

Brother I went thru the exact hell. Not married w her just gf for about a year. But she destroyed me and literally tried to destroy every aspect of my life. I'm still recovering... in my studies of Narcissism after my hell ended w her I came to the conclusion ( in my un-professional opinion. ) she is a Malignant Narcissist. The worse kind, Evil at 33 me 56 she literally nearly Buried me. Now she has new supply guy a few yrs younger than me. She's contacted me, still gaslighting. I'm changing my number as soon as I get bk from this getaway / mini vacation.. I never experienced anything so Evil as I did w her. Beyond my darkest nightmares. Anyone's I guarantee 💯

Thank you for everything you said Andrew. It is true. When you hit rock bottom in narcisistic relationships and you can not unsee what you see it is game over. You are done, you get to the mountain top of indifference and the mere thought of them makes you ill, there comes a point of a physical impossibility to stand their presence.

Yes, reactive abuse is a big issue. I’ve had buttons pushed by members of my own family as well as my ex husband and between them they have convinced my son to cut off from me citing me as unstable because I reacted. More than one occasion but it’s not the real me. I’m paying the price now though.

You are so right! Nothing I ever said was good ,it was always turned bad. All my accomplishments were laughed at and I was treated horribly wrong for three years. I have been no contact even though we have a child. I made it work through court not to have direct contact and I am healing everyday.

No one has a right to touch another person. I carry things to protect myself. I use to clip a pepper spray to my side when around the narc. Try poking me. I have an older sister that is a bully narc (just realized this), she would get in my adult grown up face and try and poke her finger at me while raging. I told her she better get that finger out of my face in my quietest calm voice but I know my eyes were screaming. She is bigger and stronger than me but I don't know what would have happened if she threw down. Just ridiculous how 2 older women could end up on the ground in a brawl. Thank GOD she backed off. Narcs are bullys. She is the reason I taught myself to fight REAL dirty growing up. She may have hurt me many times when I was little but she also eventually learned to wear the scars from doing so. I may seem like a small peaceful woman (my true self) but even my big covert ex narc knew I wasn't one to physically toss around. If he ever poked me with a finger I would slam the crap out of him after I knew for sure I'd have the door in view. Been there done .

Another EXCELLENT VIDEO Andrew. I also realize that when the narcissist stares at you they still don't really see you. They don't see your needs wants desires. They never.think about helping you. You exist only to help them. You are not even seen as a human being. That stare is predatory. It is not flattering to be stared at.. Get away and your silence is powerful !!!! A few years ago I came up with a gem of a truth...'anyone can say anything'. Despite all the words used by a narcissist, what is of extreme importance ONLY is what they DO. Not say. And yes silence takes away any power they try to have over you, even if they resort to crap actions. Just handle their crap actions but keep up the silence.

All, but one, of the narcissists in my life have passed away - I have one remaining narcissist- my elder sister who ( apart from one birthday card a year and a plain simple , none expressive card because I don’t hate her, I just immensely dislike her bully narcissistic life long ways ) - I decided to stop all contact - no calls, no text , blocked on social media apart from a telephone number which I’ve made clear is emergencies only ) - I’ve moved house, not told her, don’t need to - I don’t want her here, don’t want any greeting cards - I just want to live without her in peace . It’s the PAST - leave it there !! I wouldn’t want any contact with anyone who feels the need to share information about folk I’ve left behind for my personal sanity. Life now is calm, no more worrying emotions ups n downs THANK GOODNESS. Yes - Silence says it all !! 🌺

You are right. It is dissappointing not to hear from any of the people who portrayed themselves as friends enough to feel it was okay to be all up in your business, but when the show is over, when you ring down the curtain and go your own way, none of them call to even ask, "How are you?" Makes me think that investing time in people is not such a good investment, and you're better off giving that time to your pets and a hobby, like music, writing, painting, or anything else that makes you happy. Life is strange. 💐

Hi Andrew. Once again, you deliver needed words in a compassionate, strong way. I have, after two years, finally reached indifference. You were a big part of how I got there. Those still recovering, please take heart, you WILL recover. Stay with it. The best part of the journey to recovery is, my self-esteem and self-care have sky rocketed. I finally have found self-worth. That’s how I hit indifference, I finally saw my own value as a loving, strong, caring human being. I finally realized I am worth being loved by the number one person in my life-ME. Talk about a tough lesson to learn! Andrew, one more thing. I have been following you for over a year now. You look very healthy and happy now. I am very glad to see that. Thank you, Andrew and God bless you always.

However just recently I was in contact with the narcissist and it was very interesting, he had got so bitter and much worse, i never thought that was even possible. I ended the conversation by saying I was glad we are both happy now, knowing full well he wasn’t and he knew I meant without each other and that probably caused a rage fit, I will never know I just went silent.
