Does anyone else get physical symptoms when trying to heal from narcissistic abuse? I have been diagnosed with PTSD and anxiety, but I get headaches, terrible fatigue, sore throat, dizziness,....when I get on a site like this a read about other people going through similar situations as me I can leave comments and I notice I am feeling better. Some covert narcs will be like your ex, some will be like the ones in my life. In fact, I have members of my family like your ex, who use social media to stalk and they don't post much. But if you flip the script, I think it's not fair to say that we should be suspicious of those who lay low on social media and question if they are covert narcs too. Some people choose to stay off social media or share little for their own personal reasons (it could be safety, a personal sabbatical, etc.) The common thread with all covert narcs is that they deceive others and project an image of what they're not. The other covert narcs in my life use social media to project an image of strength, friendliness and likeability. It's repulsive. I'm sorry you had to deal with a covert narc. Hope you're making strong strides in your healing.

I totally bought into the lies and spent 8 years trying to reconcile with my ex. I did have strong boundaries- you can’t move in with me- no sex until we are reunited- we each pay for outings and respect me or its over. He could fake respect and it was painful to look at the truth and face the fact that he didn’t care about me. 2 years since I faced the truth- still see him at family gatherings with our children. It’s awesome seeing him and having it be over. As I leave a gathering I’m laughing that I finally saw the light.

Sex in a lift, in the sea and forest etc etc and still never enough. Life was exhausting, sitting at home I was told I was boring, as soon as my eyes were open I was asked what we doing today, he is never satisfied, everything he does or says is in the extreme. I've been having second thoughts and missing the narcissist after going no contact because I miss the excitement of all of our adventures and "special places". The truth is hard for those in a narcissistic relationship to understand until its too late. .people are losing there freedom, money and children and their actual lives. Your videos are a free service that really enlightens people. Most professionals do not even understand they have been manipulated (triangulated) such as the police, social services and so on and some may take sides with with these psychopaths as they are taken in with the Oscar winning acting the narc performs. Many people end up in toxic relationships due to narcissistic injury from childhood and have no idea why they constantly end up with the same type with different face. Meanwhile courts are fooled and the very person who tries to escape the abuse is threatened, gang stalked by the narcs flying monkeys and network of acquaintances. Being followed, shouted out in public ,having pets attacked and their children convinced of the narcs Sainthood and their child takes the side of the narc...I hear this a lot. Here’s my story I went no contact for 2 months after the cheating came up. Here I had surgery and and my cousin sent him today to my house to bring me food. Yep she knows I was no contact . I had surgery couldn’t move. Then he proceeded to tell me his sad story and I said no need to explain I know who you really are. So please take yourself home to whomever. I know longer need or want him near me. The narc I dated was also married but separated for 20 years. He had kids on her and she left him. But no matter what the toxic relationship was too much. And I removed myself and not looked back.. ever

Thank you, because this hits home big-time. Not a lot of people talking about the high energy having fun all the time perspective. We did so much stuff to the point it just did not feel right. Putting off responsibilities for the sake of going to this place and that place. Burning through money we didn't have. Took her to the most expensive restaurant in the city, only for her to say 2 weeks later, "we never do anything". Remember saying to her "you sure your not running from something?" She would quote "girls just want to have fun", and I would think "this seems a bit excessive". Indeed the money ran dry, and the discard process was sped up drastically. Also remember thinking "this girl is like a black hole of affection". This all before I even knew what narcissism was.

This video is amazing. I dated a covert narcissist on and off for six years. I knew right off the bat he was a fake persona but didn’t identify the narcissism at that point. The hotels, the resorts and the constant need for fun and excitement was draining. He could never sit still on the couch and relax. This hit the narc I'v been with for 43 yrs, all true to a Tee! He is as a dead man at home with me, but he goes out daily to talk to others and I mean he will talk to anybody. He is usually setting up a group of people to work on his projects. He does everything the exact same way for 43, I only wish I could have known about this 43 yrs ago. Since I found out what I was dealing with, in the healing process, I created boundaries...As I'm in the healing stage, his manipulation has come to having no affect on me. However, tonight came his worse attempt to control and manipulate me saying he was committing suicide tonight... Not only did he tell me but he told my daughter and grandchildren who live with him. I hope I'm right in not accepting his actions or threats and staying focused on my recovery. We've been together going on 40 years but I have let go of that stat because I am actually living with my value and not letting his guilt affect me. Praying for good things to happen. The Royal We he takes all of his girlfriends to the same places and promises them the same things . I learned all of this too late. We all are promised a Rolex/Cartier / other /luxury brand watch , all promised a luxury car , gifts , houses , etc ... I was proposed to just three weeks in .... I was the love of his life . I wasn’t like all the others. I was amazing . I was ‘out of his league’ You’re everything I want , and you’re everything I NEED’ was a favourite yarn of his. Imagine how quickly I fell offa that lofty pedestal! Devaluation was brutal and relentless. Triangulation with his exes, etc. When the hoovering and begging and pleading failed afterwards ....the verbal abuse really ramped up. When ignored... he used his own mothers number to text me .. pretending to be her ... calling me vile, cruel names. Now he has new supply . She’s the love of his life.... he needs her........she’s out of his league ... how do I know this .... because last week ...he took it upon himself to tell me so....via email AND what’s app (on a new number) . I did not even know her name or face until last week and he’s been with her 6 months . You know what’s coming next ! 🙈🙈🙈😂😂

Wow great video. If anyone is struggling after breaking it off, just watch this video in the morning and confirm you did the right thing! I sometimes feel down or lonely without all the excitement and drama, so I watch this and feel great knowing I’m doing the right thing in leaving and protecting myself. I say now that I want a boring life LOL I also screenshot and read the lady’s comment about what to do if you feel jealous or sad if they are w someone new for a while. They did not change! He does ask for my help with other things, things a wife or significant other would gladly do. I have not responded to any of those texts or emails for the last year and a half. This is my ex in a nutshell..he called his haunts his family...I called it the Manson family...he had to be the spot light always..he was in his mind the best chef in the universe but was a line cook...a dirty one at that. He always openly flirted with ANY female that served drinks or waited on us he would just push like a preditor a few of these women begged me to get him off of them..he didnt care..they do not care about birthdays or holidays and you nailed this on the head!!! Its been 7 months since my last encounter and it was a dark hard realization to recovery....my ex didnt do social media he was "so" private now I see he doesnt want them to know his whereabouts.. Impeccable timing, most of what you're describing describes my narc father. He always has to be showing off or doing something to prove he's this "great guy" (elaborate vacations, expensive dinner/resturaunts/movies/etc.). It isn't enough for him to just spend time with his family, he's got to show off and make like the father of the year which he is clearly not. I got stories. point is, the Narcissist has to be the center of attention, doesn't matter if it's a parent/spouse/boyfriend/girlfriend/sibling/etc. They aren't going to value you enough to spend time just with you.
