Thank you so much. This really explains a lot about what was happening in my 20 year marriage. There was no actual relationship, only “business like transactions.” He also had porn/object fetishes and would prefer objects and idols to real relationships. Given an ultimatum, he quickly chose his porn/toys and money/success over his family. Good riddance!

Mine said at first I think I’m gay and now he thinks that he’s transgender but I told him I think he does this for attention and he says no this is who I really am and I explain to him that he would do anything even if it meant hurting family members to go through with the process but again, I think it’s for attention

Good video. Sam helped me realize so many things. My father is undoubtedly a narcissist. I'm 50% sure I'm one myself due to the all the time I've spent with him and his influence on me in life. I only relate to some of the things Sam mentions when he explains the psyche of a narcissist. How can I know for sure If I'm a full blown narcissist?

Yup, I noticed that as well. They use female and male family members to compete with their partners. The more uncomfortable you appear, the more they amp up the behaviour.

Sam you have enlightened me amazingly in the last couple of hours of watching your videos. Is there a correlation between necrophilia and narcissism by chance? I discovered my ex was into necrophilia on his phone one time and it was around the same time I was waking up after a night out (up to 24 hours later), having no memory of getting home etc, to discover I had been quite brutally violated. This happened a number of times.

Is possible that a female narcissist, can play with both genders? To get material support, carrer support and money from men while using women more for emotional support and for cleaning her aparment and cloths etc.? So that she may jump between men and women depending on the situation and her momentual needs? So that she jumps always to the source that gives her the most support, attention and resources she needs? And when they dry out she moves on to the next one.

Sam Vaknin that all makes complete sense. I suggested (quite unpopular opinion) that they suffered from body dysmorphia and that it was bullshit similar to pro Ana websites. The fact that they obsessively draw attention to the dysmorphia sorta negates the idea that they do not see themselves accurately. On the contrary, this is how they get attention. They are obsessed with they attention and are hyper reactive to NOT getting attention rather than people not accepting them for who/how they believe themselves to be.
