This is why Amber Heard walked into her last case with Johnny Depp thinking all she had to do was show up. The family courts are so rigged against men that it's ridiculous, she thought she'd get the same ride in her defamation trial. Whoops!! She walked into a buzzsaw. It didn't help that her lawyers were extremely arrogant, were used to winning because of the deference given to their bigshot firm, and did little to no preparation.

My case was wild... my sons mother dropped him off to me when he was 4 years old, and she never returned to pick him back up nor did i hear from her for months.... years later, i found out she put me on child support, and claimed she had no idea where I was, but was acting as if she was providing and was living with her .... Of course, I opened up a case in family court to clear my name, and attempt to get custody ..... the Judge threw me out of the court room over and over again, BECAUSE SHE WOULDN'T SHOW UP TO COURT AND JUDGE SAID THAT SHE CAN'T POSSIBLY HEAR MY CASE WITHOUT HER BEING THERE, WHILE MY SON WAS WITH ME EVERY TIME .... That was in NJ , once i moved out of state, it got corrected IMMEDIATELY ....

By awarding such large payouts, divorce court incentivizes the breakdown of families and marriage for financial gain. There are cases where the threat of divorce has been used as a type of monetary blackmail. This is systemically unethical. Additionally, it is an archaic throwback to an era when women were wrongly considered the weaker sex, it is unknowingly perpetuating sexism.

I personally believe that women are just as intelligent, hard working, and capable as men...but for some reason judges in America think women are basically like children...so if u divorce from a woman it's still your responsibility bc she's the child and the man's the adult, at least in the eyes of the judges. My friend told me that during his divorce, Judge Weller told him that if he didn’t make a settlement with his wife, he would make him pay alimony for the rest of his life. This judge was known to be harsh on males in family court. I was also told that the wife was cut from one ear to the other almost decapitated by this lunatic in the garage of the townhome. Alimony is an obsolete concept. Created when women could not work yo earn a living. A transition is needed but women need to get a job and go back to supporting themselves. Marriage is now a scam due to divorce courts. The payments continue after the lease is terminated, even though you no longer have access to the car. And someone else raises your kids 84% of the time. "Wife" is the only "job" in the world with a retirement plan instantly upon start. Fifty percent of your life's earnings, and often about 26% of future earnings for up to 18 years taken in exwife "support" that does not go to kids. INSANE!!! And marriage (in the USA) is the only contract where the person breaking the contract wins. 🙄 Alimony is an obsolete concept since women are earning equal pay, too. It is a false claim that men earn more individually, only true collectively, because they work more hours, years, and risky jobs.

Said this before and I'll say it again, no one wants to be forced to pay for someone else's life after a breakup for the rest of their lives. I'm actually surprise that these kind of endings don't happen more often. Having to pay 10K a month, house expenses, and 480K lump sum is just too much. In fact, it's so much that it seems spiteful.

A $480000 lump, $10000 / mo + $850 / mo child support + house expenses is a huge chunk of a half million dollars a year salary and his net worth - very stiff. Doesn't excuse the murder and attempted murder though. Especially considering what he eventually lost, and the harm to the daughter.

It depends on how long you were together. A women honoring the home and husband and forgoing anything training so he has a nice home and babysitting for his spawns shouldn’t have to worry about being homeless if the man decides he can do better. Now if she has an affair will the milkman, he can take care of her.

@@DirtyLifeLove You missed the point of the post. He was ordered to pay her 10K per month, house, 480K lump sum, and over $800 in child support per month. They were swingers, not much "honoring" was being done in that relationship. His "spawn" is her "spawn" too, or did it suddenly only have a father when it's convenient to her? The point is that no one should be paid more than double the national average for failing in their marriage.

They've pierced _others_ with griefs in their pursuit of riches, as well, as seen in this very case. "Griefs" being interchangeable with "bullets" or, in other instances, "blades." Actually, both are applicable in this case (the video just passed the part about what happened to the wife.) May the victims rest in peace and may the perpetrator enjoy every day spent in prison.

There's absolutely no excuse for murder, but the ONLY property that your ex-partner should be entitled to in the event of a divorce or separation are those they demonstrably PAID FOR during that divorce. Home equity, vehicles, pets, etc. Your income is your income alone, and no one should be entitled to it simply for living with you for 10 years. Disgusting injustice. Just as soon as women are out-earning men (already likely happening), this practice of robbery will end completely. Suddenly we'll be telling men that if they marry a woman they need to focus on maintaining their earning potential and developing sources of income to rely on in the event of a divorce. There will be none of this "You sat on your ass doing nothing but chores for 10 years so here's your million dollars." bullsh*t.
