Isadore is in a much better place now...she gave godlyness to the female form and she never ever took her clothes off to do it..a great artist of her time

Isadora wanted people to find and dance their own dance not her dance. She only taught her dance steps to her students so that they could perform as a united group and raise money for her school. It was her mission to inspire her students to connect with their solar plexus and dance their own movements from the depths of their soul. These are pretty movements but they really lack the spirit Duncan was able to convey by dancing from her spiritual chore. It's nice that people keep her memory alive though...it would be even nicer if they inspired people to both dance and live from their sacred soul.

I have seen many people dance this choreography which was preserved as one of Isadora's dances. This lovely dancer Abra Cohen brings her own spirit to it with a whole body and whole hearted devotion...she is fully expressing the theme of Narcissus from her own soul. Her musical interpretation speaks to me and touches me deeply. Every moment expresses the universal theme, as well as experience we all have of Narcissus.

For me, this dancer embodies the feeling and experience of Narcissus and I feel it in my soul when I watch her. She is connected to the meaning of the movements and thrills me with the intention to dance the self absorbed young one who spins in self admiration

@@gretchenschaffer3152 I totally agree this is beautifully danced from spirit of this dancer. This comes across in the video and I'm sure would be even more powerful seeing it live. She has had good training in the Duncan technique. Kudos, Abra Cohen and her teachers.

Honestly it's better than some of the others I've seen. At least there appears to be some technical skill exhibited here. One really wonders if Isadora Duncan was just a brilliant troll. I think I know why she was laughing all the time.

ISADORA WANTED TO BE AN ORIGINAL CREATOR JUST AS THE CAN-CAN DANCERS HAD BEEN BY INVENTING THE EXPRESSION OF A NEW FEMININITY THROUGH DANCE, WHAT I TALK ABOUT IN A VIDEO ON MY CHANNEL.
@ad6417Ай бұрын
The original can-can dancers were not about art. They were about avoiding starvation. Many of them were also prostitutes.
