To be fair, the main actors of The Raid movies are "Martial Artists first, Actors later", unlike Hollywood stars who are usually the opposite. Rama: comes in fighting like an actual hurricane. The other cop: comes in with a lot of good technique, nothing flashy but just picks his moments to take the guy out. Old lieutenant guy: I learned this on american wrestling! For real though, this scene was kind of a breath of fresh air in the movie. Before this there were a lot of tense moments between Rama fighting alone in that hallway, fighting the machete guys, Mad Dog's fight with Jaka... Now here's "everyone" reunited, they have their goal in mind, and we just kinda get to watch a fight that has comparably low stakes to the scenes both before AND after it. Easily in my top 3 favorite fight scenes. What I love about this fight is where it's at in this movie (close to the end), you can feel the level of exhaustion of them. They aren't perfect fighters, they are still vulnerable - but they're just working on pure adrenaline at this point after all the crap they've been through This is a damn near perfect action movie imo

It was pretty sad to know the other cop is really good at the fighting too (not the white hair guy, but the guy who use the same outfit like iko) but it the end, the white guy shoot him. When I saw that man fighting, he almost have skill like rama.

3:10 The only thing that would’ve made this little fight better is if when the guy does the sweeping kick at Rama’s head, Rama inhales some of the drug powder and goes into a mini rage for a minute and just absolutely destroys the guy on the table.
@takumifujiwara45322 жыл бұрын
Dagu (side character) fought almost as good as Rama (protagonist), that's what makes this movie unique. Most Hollywood action movies just focuses on the protagonist and less about the side character. You are not the only one that is good in everything I guess.

The second young cop is brutal as fuck. Crushing necks with a punch, faces with a kick, slamming people skull first into pillars. I want a movie with THAT guy as the protagonist. It's unfortunate that grandpa white hair there blows his head off near the end. :C

I love THE RAID 1, THE RAID 2 & THE NIGHT COME FOR US movies. Because the enemies are not made idiots and weak, but they are given a show to fight back. There was even a side enemy that had injured the main character, it looked good. If you pay attention, there are a lot of really interesting little scenes.

@@Wolf10media Well, hopefully at this point you STILL haven't watched it and have changed your mind. "I'll take their word.... Raid movies are my standard though." Yeah. You will be disappointed. Aside from both Scorpion and Sub Zero fights, the 1995 actually had way more enjoyable martial arts. This movie literally wouldn't crack top 100 with all the great martial arts movies out there. The One had better fight scenes.
