The guys in Turnstile seem like such genuine, down-to-earth people. I'm convinced they'll remain true to themselves no matter how big the band gets. Glow On has become one of my favorite albums. Uh, ok. I don’t have any way to prove it to you, but it was in Kansas City in 2013 or 2014. Totally ordinary for a hardcore band on a small label to crash in a house on tour. I highly doubt they’d remember me but they were acquainted with my roommate.

I was in the pop punk scene around that time and it wasn't uncommon for really small bands to crash on fan's couches while out touring because the scene was so small and they were really doing it pretty DIY. Some band members would even make posts asking where they can crash in certain cities.

I was the biggest Trapped Under Ice fan in high school. I remember stumbling across Turnstile’s ‘Pressure to Succeed’ EP in 2011 thinking, “yo the lead singer is the drummer from TUI!” Crazy to see them get interviewed by the nard. TUI TIL I DIE!!!!!

Just went to a Turnstile show in Oct of 2022 in Orlando Fl, and it was a beautiful experience and they’re just genuine dudes sharing an amazing art with the rest of us. Even got a pic with Franz! he’s one of the main inspirations when I started learning Bass. This band will be special to me for a long time.

I got to see these guys in Bangkok and also did a write up about the band for our group Punk Rock Bangkok. The guys were super chill really down to earth and its good to see the band get as big as they are keeping the old hardcore spirit alive but also creating a new sound that is a bit more funk oriented. I used to play the real thing video in my classes as well. Now in Nam and they are one of the more popular hardcore/ punk bands who have played over here. But yeah cool to see a new Nardwar video the Wierd Al of celebrity interviewers. Cool to see his knowledge of old school hardcore and punk. Its cool how Nardwar literally just got his start by going for it gorilla style and always impresses the artist from his knowledge and background of the performer.
