Nariyal nu lagan ( coconut pudding cake)
500 gm milk
125 gm sugar
1/2 coconut or 5 n 1/2 tbsp
6 n 1/2 tbsp semolina ( suji)
2 n 1/2 tbsp desi ghee
2 egg
50 gm malai
1 n 1/2 tbsp cream
1 n 1/2 tbsp almond n pistachio powder
2 green cardamon seeds
1 green cardamon powder
Pinch of baking powder
1 tbsp slice almond
1 tbsp slice pistachio
2-3 drops rose essence
Note: serves 6 people

What is the texture like? Custardy? Cakey? Serving should be warm or cold? Thanks.

Texture like brownies , some like warm some like cold but basically it should be served cold , n for proper prices it should be cold to comes out neatly

Assalamoualaikoum plz tell me the different between cream n malai. As in Mauritius we have cream in tin we don't have malai

malai is the cream which we used to boil fresh milk in india and Pakistan and when it get cool-down the layer comes up of thick cream is called malai , but for us we need to compromise on the tin cream which we get in super market , there are 3 types of cream , single creme which is more liquid , double cream which is thick liquid ,clotted cream which is thick like butter ,but if you are trying this recipe used double cream
