From what I've heard, they have to change things from any book to fit it into a movie and also make it work for the screen, so an exact book to movie adaptation might be impractical.

That's such a shame its fake, it is my favourite too. I really hope they do all the chronicals justice one day. I've been rewatching the BBC series but it is missing so much and very very dated. They are such magical, wonderful books and I've needed some nostalgia as I've been doing not so well

I am so disappointed that this book hasn't been made into a film yet. It's definitely the best out of the series, in my option. (Keep in mind to this day I haven't yet read all of Narnia, I've only read up to the horse and his boy so I'm quite biassed but I suspect my option shan't falter in the future).

The Silver Chair is fire also. Especially the speech the mid creature gives to the witch about how even if there was no God we should love like there was. Tears every time I read it. Hope this series gets the Peter Jackson - level production and respect it deserves

I think this might be better as a series Walden media screwed up there contract with ts lewis estate and that's why they were only allowed to make 3 movies The plan was to talk a harry potter approach and turn all the books into movies Good luck with this reboot

looks like a mash up trailer using the flying horse from CLASH OF THE TITANS, having just finished reading the book the fruit on the tree is the wrong color and I like the reference to fruit from another world that can help people with health problems alongside a tree resembling a date tree grown from a toffee wrapper - based on dates my movie will use caramel coz they're the closest taste. My diet allows dates and I love 'em - if that's the best FX you could come up with for falling thru the small ponds to other worlds they suck!

Really? Yea, right. Don't get too excited folks. Netflix rebooting the Chronicles of Narnia? That's like asking Michael Moore to do a pro Donald Trump documentary. Mark my words to whoever reads this: Netflix will absolutely MURDER this story. There is absolutely NO way that Netflix (of all the streaming services), in today's leftist, woke, narrative controlled climate could even POSSIBLY make this film into anything resembling the (heavily Christian themed) original. I'm not sure I can even imagine all the little horrid ways that our progressive champion of modern-day feminism Greta Gerwig (the creator of the BARBIE movie no less) is going to slaughter this IP. I have to wonder how many LGBTQ characters THIS little gem is going to have and won't be surprised if Aslan Himself is already stripped of his mane and portrayed as a big "pussy cat" when the film starts.

I would watch Michael Knowles' take on Barbie, not everyone agrees with you that it was super liberal. I only watched a couple clips and I could tell it was more nuanced than that. Also it's funny how often people say that a new movie will be bad, and the movie was good but people will do their best to try to find something wrong with it. Not sure why people can't just enjoy things. If you're the type that likes the book better than the movie just read the book.

​@@RealmWaffen Saying that Netflix is bad so what they put out will be bad is a circular argument and smart people won't take you seriously. And calling someone naive isn't an actual argument either. The fact is, you're not God, and even if you end up being right that you don't like it you're not the supreme judge of quality. Thank goodness for that, because the Series of Unfortunate Events which Netflix made was actually pretty good.
