The last 2 loop drops were really confusing on the last 3 videos I watched on this knot. The way you presented it made it immediately comprehensive. Thanks for the share!

Same with me. The last two moves were kicking my but and staring at the Ashley Book of Knots diagrams didn’t help either.

I concur with the others. Watched several videos until I arrived to this one and stopped. Very clear on the wrapping of the loops. Thank you!!!

Thank you, this the best and easiest way to tie it!! It's easy to follow and with this method the two remaining strands are balanced afterwards, no need to adjust them

Your tutorial was the easiest to understand. I'll be using this knot while on vacation this summer and beyond. Thank you for posting!

Many decades ago my father showed me this knot. He called it a "Halter Knot". You can make a halter for a horse with this single line. After tying the knot, one loop goes over the horses head another loop goes around horses snout the two free ends become the reins. Plus it is a very decorative knot by itself.

That's interesting. If I ever get the opportunity to catch a horse and have no bridle available I will try to remember that.

I learned the same knot from Geoffrey Budsworths Tough and Versatile Knots but with only a half turn in the middle. Its a great knot. I've used it several times. Can be used on jars too if there is enough of a lip.
