Hell yea man these vids are awesome. Love seeing u beat that johnny and that raiden game was unfortunate. Messing up cancels online always feels like shit lol. Btw at 24:00, that string (2,2,command grab) the main counter is ducking and D1’ing it. It works all the time. Although better peacemakers will know this and only do 22 which i’m pretty sure is plus. Also the reason they all do the f4 string into eagly is because its completely safe and leaves a comfy space gap making it nearly impossible to punish. Probably his best buttons up close. Cheers bro 🤙🏻 Ps: super late edit, but i finally started using sektor and man he is so much more fun than sareena. Slowly learning the re-stand combos and how to effectively use missile. Allows me to go for pressure constantly whereas sareena while good is basically a boring neutral tool/ kombo extender. I feel that smokes damage is fine as is and i never used her for extensions anyway. I just used her to put pressure then into b2. However her recharge rate seems way slower than sektor. So overall this seems like a good change for me. Gonna rewatch the kameo class and start labbing LOL

And the opposite is true whenever I lose to a Raiden, especially in a manner as sloppy as the set in this video lmao. Hate dropping cancels. ooooh so the grab is a like a standard throw? Then it's like Havik's B22,1+3...ok that makes sense. Ill have to lab the timing to see if I can react and duck and punish it consistently. Yea I noticed the pushback on that block string is wild so I figured it was a case of "why not do the whole thing" lol. and thanks for the matchup tips! Thats another reason I like posting stuff like this, cuz we can all kinda pool our knowledge. As much labbing as I do for Smoke, there are a lot of matchup specific things that take awhile to learn. So its cool for us all to learn from each other. and yoooooo I'm stealing the phrase from Ketchup and Mustard, but welcome to the Tekunin! He is soooo fun to use. I've been experimenting with using the rocket to extend BNB combos lately too. And yes you nailed it with that summary. Sareena gives some good neutral tools, but youre on your own with pressuring. The rocket feels soooo nice to have. Especially cuz some people I swear dont know it isnt an overhead. So theyll stand block the missile and let me hit them with F3 lol. That's sick though. Sareena is fine but Sektor just gives you so much more cool shit to go for lol. Hell yea tho, lemme know if you've got any Sektor questions or anything! Cheers dude

Its not a full invis guide, but the 15 Smoke tips video i have, does go into a lot of the mindgames and invis setups to at least get you started!

I fucking hate Raiden lmao. I still suck at knowing which of his normals are punishable or have gaps and shit so I usually just get bullied lmao. One annoying thing about the matchup that I've been noticing is it seems like there are a lot of situations where he can throw out a D1 to check us, but if we block his D1, we can't even punish with our own D1 because it fucking doesn't reach lmao But hell yea, im glad you're enjoying them!

lmao you mean the fucking horseshit rollbacking everywhere? It's getting old. I've never had issues with that until this season so I assume it's one of the new bugs that got introduced recently. Hope they fix it with the Ermac update. I've been working on Smoke buffs video btw so Imma have to go check out your video and see if we talk about the same issues lol. I'd guess that many of the things id change about Smoke aren't things that most people are talking about tho lol

@AwesomeBRINKS it is ONE HUNDRED PERCENT because of the janet patch... never had any problems..not even when janet dropped! Then they drop a hot fix for lag I had personally never experienced and it fucking destroyed my ability to play online. Your recording method TRULY captures it where mine doesnt do it justice. I've lost matches to people I'd NEVER lose to because of it. Some of them being toxic as fuck and it ENRAGES me that I lost because of that and this person has the audacity to think they're good. I'm telling you we have to link up in a private match and just talk it out because there's no way our thoughts dont overlap in some fashion. Also im PRAYING there's ANYTHING done to smoke on the patch notes tomorrow.

@@JustinKeithD That explains why it's been a new thing for me lmao. Yea I just watched your most recent example of it and it looks like the same thing but its harder to tell compared to my footage. I just use the Nvidia GeForce Experience capture like screen record feature thing. Shit is awful though. I had matches where I genuinely wondered if I was getting lag switched on because the dude is just teleport mixing me everywhere with Peacemaker and I cant properly react to anything. LOL I actually love the wording there, and totally understand losing to someone for factors out of your control and being fucking furious because they mistakenly think they did something cool or are better lmao. And I left a comment on your Smoke problems video but I agree that we likely agree on a lot of Smoke issues and could be a fun discussion I doubt theyll do anything to Smoke tomorrow but I'm also hoping. The Rain changes look cool at least. My number 1 change I'd want is literally anything that requires the opponent to have to guess/read the F32 overhead, rather than just get to react punish it nearly for free everytime

Honestly, you gotta train yourself to wait for the BF3 animation to start, and then input the Back+Block while Smoke starts to disappear. I find that when I mess up cancels, its usually cuz im inputting the Back+Block too early (like during whatever string im canceling from) So if youre doing F32>BF3 cancel You can input F32 then BF3 right in succession, but then there's a tiny delay before you would input the Back+Block, which would be after the F32 animation ends and Smoke starts to disappear during the start of BF3 if that makes sense. And then the amount that you have to delay obviously depends on the string you're canceling from. F32 and F12 are pretty long comparatively, but if you're doing F3->BF3 cancel, its a much shorter delay between the F3 animation ending and the BF3 animation starting. Hopefully that all makes sense, and lemme know if you have any further questions!

I'm shocked you've not completed your smoke mastery level (since you are the professor of Smoke). Do you have multiple profiles?

Its probly cuz for like the first 3 months of the game, I only played in private lobbies with friends, since you don't earn character mastery stuff in private matches. I only just finished Sektor's mastery during last weeks Kombat League video lmao. Also the rare time when I play invasions to get specific skins, I usually play Havik or Sub so that I could unlock more shit for them since I'm less interested in playing them online but still wanted their brutalities in case I do play them online someday lol.
