In Practice Excercise Q.10, Both ( option a & c) are correct. If Reporting verb is in Past tense then reporting speech which is in Past Perfect Continuous, it will be change in past continuous or present perfect continuous.

Option a is the right one. We use 'since' in perfect or perfect continuous tense ( both present and past). 'Since' is not used with past Or present continuous tense, so only option (a) is correct. Hope it helps.

Naki present continuous ayega okk
