Love the show guys. Appreciate listening to fellow hoop heads who actually know their stuff! *Rozier had a terrible shooting game in that 2018 Game 7 loss vs Cavs (not Jason Terry Legs). Rozier was 2-14 including 0-10 from 3. LeBron dragged that Cavs team to finals though and they were still underdogs in that season. Averaged 34, 9, 8, & 2.2 stocks on 52% FG% and 41% 3P% in 2018 ECF and 2nd best player Love averaged 13 10 2 0.7stocks on 38/27 splits! Celtics that series outside of Lebron had the 5 highest PPG guys after Lebron. Rondo won title as PG with 2 teams but he didn’t start for Lakers. He was important that playoff run though in 2020. PS Shaq 2000 was even greater vs my Pacers in Finals though we didn’t have Mutumbo. He averaged like 38, 16, 3, 3 on 60% shooting. They hit so many 3s that series too even though Kobe was 20% from 3. PSS LeBron 2016 Finals def top5 Finals as it was only series in any playoff series EVER to lead BOTH teams in PPG APG RBG SPG BPG. Was vs 73-9 favored Warriors then down 3-1 with games 5/7 at GSW (hadn’t lost 3 games in a row in 3 yrs!) and in Games 5-7 AVERAGED 36 10 10 3spg 3bpg on 51/42/73 and +43! The reason the MAV’s have been able to handle the top defenses in the west is because they have two players that require double teaming to defend successfully. Boston has had this great defense because they are able to defend most teams 1:1 but they will not be able to do that with Luka and Kai. They will draw additional attention which opens up lobs and wide open 3’s. On the other side MAV’s stay close in the first half then really ratchet up their defense closing the 3rd and play shutdown defense in the fourth.
@rsoissong5 ай бұрын

Funny, the more I think about it, this series is about adjustments...both team need to stick to their guns, DAL hope that Luka score easy enough in the iso, and do what they do best protect the rim and hope BOS misses 3s. BOS needs to single cover Luka with help in the paint, give him jumpers and hope that they can force him to shoot mediocre quality shots and lock down the role players. Whoever makes adjustment 1st, for DAL it is contesting the perimeter hard, for BOS it's throwing doubles at Luka, will lose. Luka will find open people for dunks and 3s, and BOS will find easy passes inside. Whoever makes the first move, looses...
@aceloco8175 ай бұрын
We'll see how Mazulla makes adjustments like u said. Crazy thing is we haven't seen what he'll go to the whole playoffs! Obviously other then KP & Horford. Did anyone else feel like the Indiana series was close because Boston didn’t take them seriously? Indiana is hard to guard because of all the space I’ll give them that but I didn’t feel like we ever got a game where Boston really wanted to put their foot on Indiana’s neck (like they did to Miami) They just knew they could outscore the Pacers and didn’t need to work very hard on defense and only did it when they needed to It was almost like oh cool now we can practice late game execution against live competition. It just never felt like the Pacers were a real threat. Like when LeBron let Toronto win two games in 2016. (Pretty sure he just didn’t want 10 days off)

O.k. folk's, first & FOREMOST I would like to just say that I love this discussion on the nba. Finals between the 2 teams. With that said I think this series is going to be better than most oddsmakers think it's going to be. The reason I say this is that is because of the slim margins of what this series presents. With out going to much into details ' cause of respect of both teams , I think if Dallas keeps game 1 close going into the last 6 minutes of the 4th quarter I think that they have a better chance of winning this game down the stretch & if & I will admit that's a big IF, Dallas does win game 1 in BOSTON than the ODDS of DALLAS winning the series in my opinion is better, but if BOSTON wins by more than double digits it's going to be tougher for DALLAS to win in BOSTON. In closing, I don't think this series is going 7 games either way it goes.

Lot of people are for a rude awakening, there's certainly a path for DAL to win. BOS gonna start with switching everything and guarding straight up, if Luka score efficiently and BOS is bit cold from 3, DAL can hang on and win it in the clutch, where BOS will go full panic. And then I expect BOS to panic some more, make adjustments, that instead of stopping DAL, open the whole floor for them. And suddenly it's 1-3 and DAL manages to close at some point. But most likely scenario, is that Luka scores, but it's tough for him and BOS shuts down the role players and hit their open 3s, which they will get. At some point DAL over commits to the perimeter and BOS finds easy points inside.

All 8 Celtics players that will play can all shoot& all play defense. Luka& Ky can avg. a combined 60-65pts and the Celtics JT& JB can avg. Combined 50-55! The difference will B Celtics 3-8 players will out play/score Mavs3-8players. Celtics in6🔥

We'll find out but steel sharpens steel and Dallas has elevayes their game through those battles. I dont believe Boston is that dialed in. I think Boston will quickly realize Dallas is on a different level from what Boston has seen.

@@AdrianCuison I know he has. But he also knows in his hear that the Celtics are a better team, he just keeps picking Celtics very year and they keep losing so this time hes going againstthe Celtics but its bad timing, the Mavs arent nearly as good.

Luka and Kyrie bring an alpha energy greater than Brown and Tatum. That Boston switches so often instead of blitzing the pick and roll or staying home, will play into Dallas’ hands. Dallas in 7. Luka mvp.

I kind of feel like the finals is a matchuo between a modern bball team in the celtics and mavs being more older school. Hybrid version but got 2 trad bigs. Hybrid in that the best player is the point gaurd.

Hilarious that you shame fans for defending their teams, when you (and the sports media as a whole) should be the only ones who define the narratives and taking points. Cringe take here, from someone I generally respect.

totally disagree Legs.... a player's value is like owning a stock.... That stock is worth exactly what it's *perceived* to be worth and has no actual attachment to the real value... So, just talking value, if i was a billionaire and wanted to buy the best possible player in the world..... who would i buy today???? LUKA !!! There's not another player in the league who is even close .... after that, you can take all your stats and go have a wiener roast....

I've been listening to Legler rant about a hypothetical title win by Luka and I'm ready to puke. I used to like the guy but he's just riding Luka's balls so hard I'm ready to move on.
