At the start of this year we had just under two hundred to visit plus theme Park Railways but we might never get to ride these due to cost and entry restrictions,also the many private railways.........Regards Chris

I think two other zoos have a steam railway.Cotswold Wildlife Park also Woburn Wild Animal Park but not sure as they are still on the list to do.....Chris

Once again you were in my neck of the woods Chris! There's not much to it but as I've said before Tinkers Park outside Uckfield does have a small railway...though visiting on a big rally day is preferable. Meeting you would be an achievement (for any steam fan really...) for me, if you're ever headed down Kent way again. Mark=

Hi Mark.Many thanks for your kind comment,it's much appreciated.I didn't contact you regarding our visit as I thought you were abroad...I did know about the railway at Tinkers Park and will try to get to it next year.We will tell you of our visit and arrange a meeting...We are visiting Kent later in the year and hope to visit Ramsgate and Canterbury M.E.S's.......Best wishes Chris.

Where there's a loco cab, there's a Rosie. An interesting little line, must be a fairly big museum to have 3 stations like that?

Love that bit about Rosie lol! She would have drove it given the chance..The museum is spread over a large area so you can either catch a bus (as seen in the video) or get the train.As we were only interested in the trains,we took the train.So much more to see but we never had the time....Well worth a visit.....Regards Chris

I saw the standard gauge track but it looked as though nothing runs on it,they have a loco in the shed but couldn't see what it was......Best wishes Chris.

According to web site' national rail times' trains run reasonably frequently to Amerberley

Mark Davidson / M_ZIME - GB&NI the reason why the standard gauge line doesn't take passengers is simply because there is no where to transport them safely also the band of volunteers who work in that bit is very small so it doesn't run that often anyway
