Hi guys, just found your vlog and really enjoyed it. We did the Oxford about 3 months ago and it is beautiful. We've lived on our narrowboat for just over 2 years now and absolutely love it. If we could offer two bits of advice, they would be: 1) Make sure you get a full survey done before buying, if you go for a used boat. 2) If you want to do the whole network then you would be better off getting something no longer than 58ft. Great video, Wendy and Laurence! When I was doing research into van living, I remember coming across some narrowboat videos, and really wanting to try them out (but I'd need someone who sort of knew what they were doing).

Really you don't. 😅 I got mine 5 years ago after spending precisely half an hour on a moored boat. At that point I was 55, cruising on own. Take your time and people are always offering to help.
