Stunning video Garry . I was born and raised on narrow boats and spent over seventy years traveling the canal system. Unfortunately a few years ago I suffered a massive stroke. Which put a end to my ability to remain on my boat.. I suppose it was down to constant stress never a day went by without a phone call from people who had broken down on their boats. Garry the only advice I can give you is make sure you you service your boat at regaler intervals. Anyway Garry keep safe warm and well. Mate .

@wayneharris7534 thanks Wayne. The boat gets a full engine service every year and blacked every 2 years. Fingers crossed the old 2 pot Lister engine hasn't failed a beat and is as solid today as she was when built. None of this new fancy engine stuff for me .

@narrowboatliving8241 I'm so glad to hear this I can't tell you how many times I have been called out because of complete engine failure due to the owner not bothering to maintain their boats..the same could be said about their vehicles and they wonder why this has happened ??

I would love to try living on a narrow boat, but being a Danish pensioner, I guess the red tape to get a residence permit is difficult. I live in a motorhome, and love it. Wish my toilet cassettes were as tightly shut as yours. How do you stop them leaking!😑

How excellent was that, nice one Gary. A full day of your life and the dogs (they are so good), First I have seen of this style on the canals, great idea of yours!

Great video of "A Day in the Life of a Retired Boater." It's nothing fancy, but seeing the daily grind is nice. Especially loved the excitement with the dogs over "walkies" time😍. Have a fabulous week, Gary gives some belly rubs for the doggies. 😁 Blessed wishes from Alberta, Canada.

i know this has nothing to do with the video, but i kept seeing Vibrations of Manifestation by alex lane mentioned in the comments of so many videos and even heard friends talk about it. i was skeptical, but i finally gave it a try, and honestly, it’s been life-changing. two weeks later, i’m finally in the position i’ve been manifesting for years-better opportunities, more confidence, and everything just feels aligned. had to share this with you.

Tough dragging a car around. Hence in a marina. Big decision to take out on the cut dragging a car behind you. If prices rise beyond affordability in a marina then there is no choice but to leave and go out on the cut. Pulling the car behind. You see because shops pubs are in decline on the canals then the isolation from essential services for food etc would require a car. Its not a easy life buy an enjoyable one.
