The problem that I have with NARS, is they never have my shade! It’s either too light, too dark, too neutral, too olive, too red or too yellow! So I don’t even try anymore...🙎🏿‍♀️

I love it! But I use probably half of what you put on your cheek for my whole face 😆 Looks beautiful on you! I’m oily, I haven’t used powder with it yet. By the end of the day my oils are coming through but it’s not horrible (8+ hr day)

I feel like this version of Macao is less red, more golden and I LOVE that for me because Macao was always the shade they matched me to, but it was always a bit red.

Oh yeah. And I used to wear New Guinea but for some reason they don’t have that shade anymore so that’s why I started using Macao a while back. Good thing Macao ended up working lol!

Same here! In my case, I started off with Sheer Glow in Macao and it was a perfect match for me. It was also described as being for "golden undertones." I bought the Radiant Longwear last year without checking the description and found that it wasn't quite as perfect as the Sheer Glow. When I checked the description, I saw that it changed to being for olive undertones. If this Macao is recommended for golden undertones, I might get back on the Nars train.

This the best foundation that NARS has released. I love it so much. It wears well and the coverage is phenomenal. I could wear Macao even in their other formulas but I prefer Marquises so I got this foundation in Marquises and I still thought it was lighter than the Natural Radiant Marquises shade but when I applied it, I was so pleased with the finish and it felt like skin. I also didn't know whether or not I wanted to set it or not. It wore so beautifully! So far, this is my favorite foundation of the year! Also it looks great on you!

Bought this foundation the day it launched and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! It wears beautifully on the skin and like you, I didn't feel the need to set it with powder once I was done. NARS DID THEY THANG WITH THIS ONE! Great review from you too 😊

Haven't tried this one yet, but I'm currently using the Nars sheer glow and I've got to say, my skin looks great with it on, and my skin texture has gotten better. Whatever skincare they have in the foundation, it has really been looking after my skin. I love it.

So I've always used the shade Macao in Nars foundations but I saw the shade Marquises which has more of a golden undertone. They both work really well but I think I like Marquises a little better. I ordered this foundation the day it came out and it came in the mail today and I cant wait to try it!!! It looks so good on you Andrea❤❤

I almost don’t need to make a comment because you said everything I planned to say. If this had dropped before Too Faced BTW Matte, I would never have bought the Too Faced. The Too Faced isn’t heavy on the face but it’s Matte Matte, matte in a way I have not really seen in newer foundations, since before Fenty released their first foundation. When you finished your application I went on my Sephora app on my phone to see when I purchased the Too Faced because I might take it back and get the NARS Soft Matte! The finish is Superb. Whatever I do, it will include buying this foundation. I watched Jasmine review this and I wanted to see if it was the primer she used, skin prep etc.. but No, this foundation is just Beautiful! Excellent review.
