Because of Lisa Eldridge I don't apply concealer directly onto my face, I put it on my hand then use a flat concealer brush for under my eyes and a tiny concealer brush for blemishes

If you use a good eye cream several minutes before applying the soft matte concealer, it applies and looks a lot better. And surprisingly it also lasts longer without caking, if you don't set it with powder at all. At least on my under eyes... But i still prefer the radiant creamy concealer :)

I also have slightly dry skin under my eyes, and I tested both. I found it interesting, because I love the radiant creamy concealer! It's much more moisturizing! The matte version, was difficult to apply, especially when the goal is not to emphasize dryness. I returned mine😉

For the soft matte, I found the best way to apply it is dipping my finger in the pot and swirling a bit then apply it to my undereye and blend it with my finger. I find that picking up the product with my finger heats it up before applying it.

you should use finger, warm it up between your finger tips then apply. I swear it makes the world of difference for under eye

My undereye skin is extremelly dry and still I have these both concealers and I love them madly. The secret is to always use a good moisturizer in your eye area. Specially if you are trying a matte finish product...

Well.. The NARS artists say that the Soft Matt is NOT supposed to be used under your eyes. It's suppose to cover little spots and make your skin look flawless and stay beautiful whole day. Just fyi :)

I've seen a lot of people saying the new concealer isn't great for under eyes and I've never attempted it there, so I appreciate the review! I really love it for the face, my new favorite thing for work/daytime is to use it to cover any spots, then otherwise using a light foundation (currently glossier's). My spots are covered but my face still looks fresh and natural!

Wow!! i watched a couple of bad reviews and i tried it thinking that i would dislike it but for my surprise! i loved it!! it actually looked flawless under my eyes, i think it's because i have an oilier under eye area and they are well hydrated naturally , so with using an under eye cream it looked amazing! , i do recommend trying it out for yourself , if you have an oily under eye and you prep well it might work and look incredible!!

I used to use the Radiant Creamy Concealer but it drys out my under eye like crazy, now I prefer the Soft Matte Complete Concealer way more!! Maybe try apply it before foundation with finger? cuz that's what I do and it works very good for both blemishes and under eye

I was told by a beauty expert that the new Nars concealer isn't it for undereyes. She said that you don't want anything too thick or matte undereyes, especially if you have dry skin.

hey if you have dry undereyes i advice you to give a shot to the Smashbox hydrating primer for undereyes !! It will solve any dry problems ,your concelear will last much longer( even with scorching heat or freezing weather ) it's even slightly illuminating ..i mean it's not the ysl Touche Eclat but it has a healthy good looking "sheen" that once it's covered you'll never notice. hope it helps you!

nicolealltheway it's not oily at all! Never had any mascara smudging with it in the years I've been using it! Definitely check it out during the Sephora sale (they might even have a travel size) and if you don't like it you can always return it :) But you'll love it ;)

nicolealltheway nope no oily at all. it's a 15 ml tube with the best applicator ever , once you squeeze it you'll see it's a light pink gel ...a word of advice the tinest amount will go a long way so a drop in the undereyes per day is the ideal amount! I live in Italy so in summer the struggle is real and my cream concelear will smudge like crazy this saved the day . once you apply the gel you'll feel a fresh , comfy sensation and it dries down a satin finish. a friend of mine struggles with undereye bags and this solved all her problems, bye bye crazy creasing.

Regarding how do you prefer to apply makeup - I find it depends on the product. For example - my Laura mercier foundations applies best with a brush, but my Lancôme foundation looks better with a sponge. Concealer, I tend to apply with my finger.

And my skin is not even that dry! :( I was really intrigued by this new pot concealer, but I guess I'll skip it this time :) Probably will try the MUFE HD one you always recommend! When I went to Nars, I was going to but the Radiant creamy one but the girl recommended me the complete matte one for under eyes as it has better coverage. I like the Urban Decay Stay Naked one which I've used up, so have been wanting to try Nars as it's got good reviews for a high coverage concealer

I noticed the nars pods ( even though they have the same names ) tend to me a smidgen darker then the nars radiance. I'm in custard I personally love it better then the tube I have dry skin but very bad blue underneath my eye so I need full coverage. I suggest applying with a flat wide brush then using a damp beauty blender

I think you should try a serum concealer for your under eyes. I have normal/combination skin and I love the Soft Matte concealer underneath my eyes. I still prep with a hydrating eye cream before I start my concealer so that it glides on. I do agree it can get cakey if I don't properly hydrate the skin but it is my holy grail concealer.

i totally agree!!!!! I am a 5th year uni student with my blueish veins showing under my eyes and this concealer has been HEAVENLY for me to use on the go and like when getting ready, i make sure i hydrate with an OIL FREE moisturizer, and i also use my laroche posay eye cream almost every day and sometimes i put a little bit of a silicone primer under my eyes too but it is sooo goooood for covering up anything and looking natural. i have really bad eczema and it hasn't broken me out yet either. i like it more than my laura mercier secret concealer cuz i don't feel like i need to set it with powder and it's cheaper cuz it has more primer so i'm definitely gonna pick up a darker colour for the summer. ^^

To me, the soft matte one is really great for spot conceal, it stay all day very thin . i used the makeup forever full cover before but the nars one is far more better you conceal it and then you don't really see it there, but it cover everything. Yes for under eyes could look dry.

I have dry under eyes and my concealer looks like that most of the time, unfortunately. I found that applying a lot at once and quickly blending with my fingers (not swiping) works the best for me. Especially with drier formulas, a sponge immediately ruins it as well as blending for too long.

I don't know if a matte concealer would be best under the eye. That area tends to be dehydrated. A luminous look also helps reflect light an eliminate appearance of dark circles too.

I'm a dry and sensitive skin type but find this great for my under eye area. I apply is with a fluffy concealer brush and blend with my finger. Then I use a damp sponge to apply translucent mineral powder setting powder.

Ugh, I have very dry under eyes too -_- Every once in awhile I have a day where concealer decides to look not too bad, otherwise it always looks awful. And I always, always moisturize, AND mix an oil in at night! The struggle is reeeeal haha. Probably doesn't help that I have to use the Kat Von D White Out with everything and that stuff is pretty dry!

I do have both. The Radiant Creamy is actually dryer on my undereye. For the Soft Matte, I think less is more (I think the coverage is really good), and with some eye cream before, it is perfect !

Thanks for making this video. I own the radiant concealer one with the wand and while i do like it isnt my favourite. When i purchased it at sephora they said the in the potted container and the wand are the same its just a matter of your personal preference in terms of how you want to apply it. Ive seen quite a few youtubers who seem to reach for the potted version and swear by it so it made me wonder if maybe there actually is a difference after all. Im not a huge fan of concealers in a pot container but im always looking for new concealers, specifically for my under eyes and was considering picking it up to try. After watching this im not sure if i will. Maybe ill give my existing nars radiant concealer that i already own another try though.

I have really dry undereyes plus dark circles (horrible combination) I used to use the NARS creamy concealer but it used to look cakey on my crease, but that was before I discovered Beauty Blenders The best combination i've found so far is It Cosmetics bye bye under eye (for fixing the dark circles) with Too Faced Born This way(for hydration)

IM HAVING TROUBLE FINDING MY SHADE!!!! I usually get tarte shape tape concealer and in the shades 22N light neutral and 29N light-medium together cuz I’m kinda in between the two. I would say I’m way closer to 22N light neutral, but since I’ve never bought any nars products I wouldn’t know what shade I would get for the nars matte concealer. In my profile picture I am wearing the born this way concealer in the shade natural beige, but it’s obvious that it’s not an exact match and looks a little too yellow. Right now I have the nars matte concealer in the shade Marron Glaće in my cart, but I’m afraid to order because idk if it’s too yellow or too light & I really I want it to exactly match my skin tone so I can cover blemishes and pimples while also making it look skin like and a little natural. :(
