Im glad Im not the only one who had a hard time figuring out what products do and don’t work with this foundation. Once you figure it out it’s beautiful but I almost gave up with the amount of different application techniques, primers, and powders I used in attempt to get it to work. I finally found that the Milk Hydragrip primer works best for me and I apply it with a sponge.

Great review Abbey. I have "mature" oily skin and I apply the foundation with my fingers. I'll try again with a beauty sponge to see if it will give me a more natural finish.

Thank you for doing another skin friendly foundation review!!! Love these videos 🙂 I actually bought this foundation to try since it was fragrance/essential oil free. Normally my skin is oily, but since starting tretinion, it has been a mix of dry, flaky, and oily 🤦🏻‍♀️ This foundation did not work for that. Even with a damp sponge it clung onto each little flaw. So still on the foundation hunt!

Yes definitely is not the foundation for flakey skin! Have you tried IT cosmetics foundation + skincare? That’s a great option for dehydration

The foundation instructions say to apply with fingertips. I found that works the best.

Hello😊, I recently bought this and on the Sephora website, it recommends to blend out the foundation with your fingers, I have not tried this method, so I was wondering if you have? I also agree with you about applying it with a brush, it looks cakey around my nose, which is where I am the driest. And as you mentioned with a sponge, I also stopped using it since I’m acne prone skin. So I’m on the fence about this foundation, might give it another chance by applying it with my fingers.

I just discovered your page and I'm kinda binging your videos right now haha. I bought the west brush today and holy smokes is it amazing! How would you say the Nars foundation compares to the West & Wild Photo Focus foundation? I'm sort of debating between these 2 so would love to know. Huge price difference so I'm curious how you think it compares in terms of wear and application. The light feel really appeals to me.

This one is much thinner than wet n wild! But I think I still prefer wet n wild... never have issues with application!

I love my concealer pot I got vanilla first love it to brighten but it's too light under the eye so I prefer the creme brulee shade I got both now.. we haven't received the foundation yet in aus can't wait to try it

Need to try that! Have used this foundation yeaaars ago and it was a mess on me. Wanted to try it again. I was over the moon about the l'oreal 32h matte foundation (european version) but it has niacinamide in it, which my skin can't stand and keeps breaking me out. I am bummed, because it looked good and stayed all day!

I wish i had watched this before i purchased the soft matte concealer so i would know about the NARS undertones! I ended up with the shade “madeleine” which is WAY too yellow but i feel bad returning it since I’ve used it :( I think i would have done much better with a more neutral shade!
