You're stunning! Love your curls🤎 I'm also fenty 385 (thank you so much for stating your shade reference) and have a similar curl pattern. We're shade and curl twins!!! I've been really wanting to try the matte concealer but at a loss on what shade to get. I currently mix amande and caramel in radiant creamy concealer to get my perfect match. But seeing as to how amande matte concealer worked well for you to spot conceal (which is what I want to use it for), I think I'll take the plunge! I can always dot a little caramel of the radiant creamy if it's too dark I guess. Thank you for sharing 💙

I wear Fenty 385 as well, but Caracas is too pink on me in the winter. I had to get moorea. It works in the summer though

Yes girl definitely orange on me too! I use chestnut in Nars so I’m hoping it balanced my neutral tone which is orange+ pink! Best luck!

You are such a beauty. I'm so confused regarding shades. I always end up picking darker shades, I think I'm lighter than I think I am. Mac NC45 never really matched me but I feel it's my closest reference. I bought the Amande concealer to spot concealer as my true match but it's dark and watching your video, it looks like you're way lighter than me 🤦🏽‍♀️. Think I'll get the Caramel to mix with Amade for spot concealing and highlighting too🤷🏽‍♀️

I'm in the same boat. I want to try the matte concealer but have no idea what shade to get. I have the radiant creamy in Amande and Caramel. I mix the 2 for my face shade (about 70:30 Amande to Caramel ratio). I reverse the ratio for undereyes. I wanted to get Amande matte concealer for spot concealing and got excited when I saw Daci's results but your comment got me questioning again. I'm also fenty 385 like Daci (it's my PERFECT match). I really don't want to get 2 shades to customize my shade with the matte concealer. Sigh...complexion products are such a struggle! Did you get the Caramel shade? Did the mixing trick work?

@@TwinkleToes66 I know it's crazy. I tried frnty when it first came out, 370 wasn't right but 390 was pulling orange. Didn't try it after 385 came out. Yeah I got the Caramel and did the mix. It took more than 30% of caramel to get the amende close to my shade but I had 2 problems. 1 was once you stir the soft matte concealer it remains soft and almost liquid (I did the mix in a small sample pot as I thought it'd be better than having to do it e everyday) 2nd was I'm very golden undertone and because neither of them was golden enough. Caramel works on it's own as a highlighting shade on a natural makeup day. Saying this though, there are new shades out and I think truffle or walnut would be my perfect shade and Sucre d'orange a good highlight shade.

@@zinny7994 look at us being chemists mixing products and all lol! I love the complexities, intricacies and uniqueness of our shades of chocolate but with it comes the impossible challenge of shade matching. I had the same issue when Fenty first came out with their original shades. I first got 420 (major fail - too dark and too red), then got 370 which matched my inner face but was too light for the outer perimeter of my face (I thought maybe it would oxidize but it didn't). 390 pulled too orange like you said. I have a slightly golden but quite neutral undertone. I would use 370 add a DROP of 420 to make it work. But when 385 came out it was perfect. The concealer actually matches me better than the foundation so I now just spot conceal with 385 concealer and buff it out. I actually like how it performs as a "foundation" much more than the concealer. I think Walnut may be the winner for you looking at it online. But I guess it's one of those things that you have try in store before making a decision :( That's pretty interesting what you said about the formula remaining liquid-like after mixing! I think I'm going to pull the trigger and get Amande. If it's too dark I'll just dot some Caramel radiant creamy on top to blend it out. It's more of a hassle but a workable solution I guess. I thought maybe the new shades would work for me too but honestly, the neutrality of amande mixed with the goldeness and lightness of caramel really makes my perfect shade. So we'll see! @@zinny7994 So I literally just received the concealer. I got it in Amande. AND I LOVE IT. It's a tad bit darker and pinkier/redder than my skin tone but it works. I think I actually like that it's a bit darker to avoid looking ashy or grey. But because it blends like a DREAM, no issues! It's not a shade I would use under my eyes or inner face because it's too dark. But for the outer perimeter of my face, works like a charm! I guess the slight red in it also makes it great for my hyperpigmentation (which is why I got it). I've been foundation-free in recent years and all I've been doing is spot concealing. And this product is IT. It's undetectable on my skin and covers beautifully...I'm so happy I got it and that Amande works for me. I hope you find a good shade match, because it really is a wonderful concealer. I just wanted to share an update (and my excitement) since my husband doesn't get it lol Good luck! x

I am 385 in Fenty also! but, I have Caracas in the NARS Natural Radiant and it pulls too pink. Is this one the same shade? Also, is that the color you wear in the natural radiant?

Yes! I wear the shade Caracas in the NARS Natural Radiant foundation as well. Both NARS foundations are similar in color, imo. Caracas is said to have a peach undertone & though I’d normally go for a neutral undertone (similar to the Fenty 385), I feel it’s the best shade match for me. Also, once I apply my concealer & powders everything comes together! Hope that was able to help :)

I am a Caucasian woman who wears deeper shades because I have naturally tan skin ... Caracas is my exact shade ... it’s hard to find videos that tell you exactly what concealer shades go so well with the foundation ... now I’m off to Ulta to get me some Caramel concealer!!
